Nate DiCasmirro is an ice hockey right winger who was born in Atikokan, Ontario but grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis. He is currently under contract with HDD Jesenice of the Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL). He plays for the Italian national team.

IK Göta is a Swedish sports club, which was very successful in several sports such as Track & Field, Team Handball, Bowling, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey ice hockey, Soccer and Bandy during the 20th century. Most famous and successful sport was Ice Hockey. They won the Swedish ice hockey championship nine times, including the inaugural championship in 1922. The club was also operating bandy teams, both women's and men's, winning the Swedish Men's championship in bandy once, in 1927. In women's bandy they were far more successful winning eight (8) times, last time in 1984.
Peter Berndtsson is a Swedish retired ice hockey centre. He spent ten seasons with Västra Frölunda from 1989 to 1996 and then again from 1997 to 2000. He also played for Färjestads BK, Örebro IK, HV 71 and Linköpings HC and also had a spell in Finland's SM-liiga for JYP.
Roger Melin is a Swedish ice hockey coach and former player, who has been head coach of Linköping HC of the SHL since 2012. He has also previously coached SHL clubs Brynäs IF, Färjestad BK, Frölunda HC, and AIK, as well as Hammarby IF and Rögle BK in the Swedish second tier league. His playing career included five seasons in the SHL, with AIK, Örebro IK, and Hammarby, as well as several seasons in the second and third tiers with Väsby IK. His brief stint in North America during the 1980–81 and 1981–82 seasons was mostly spent in the CHL, though he also played 3 NHL games with the Minnesota North Stars
Niklas Urban Eriksson is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player, continuing as a ice hockey coach. He won a gold medal at the 1994 Winter Olympics. Eriksson played most of his years in Leksands IF, and has also represented IFK Helsingfors (Finland) and HC Pustertal Wölfe (Italy). With 721 games for Leksands IF Eriksson is the player with most games for the club, and as of 2019 Eriksson is one of the honored players with jersey number 16 up in the ceeling of Tegera Arena.

Hardy Nilsson is a Swedish retired ice hockey player and coach. During his playing career he mainly played for Skellefteå AIK where he won the Swedish championships in 1978. In 1978 Nilsson moved to the German team Kölner Haie where he was very successful, scoring 21 goals and 102 points in 45 games. He ended his playing career in Örebro IK.

The 2013 Kvalserien was the 39th Kvalserien, consisting of two Elitserien (SHL) teams and four HockeyAllsvenskan teams. It began on 14 March 2013 and ended on 5 April 2013. The 2013 Kvalserien determined which two teams of the participating ones would play in the 2013–14 SHL season and which four teams would play in the 2013–14 HockeyAllsvenskan season.
The 2012–13 HockeyAllsvenskan season was the 8th season of the HockeyAllsvenskan, the second-highest level of ice hockey in Sweden. The regular season began on 12 September 2012 and ended on 2 March 2013, with the following playoffs and Kvalserien tournaments running until 5 April 2013. Leksands IF, following a season marked by financial instability and scandal, secured first place in the regular season standings, and continued to the qualification round for the 2013–14 SHL/Elitserien season, along with second-place Södertälje SK, third place VIK Västerås HK, and playoff winner Örebro HK. Meanwhile, 13th- and 14th-ranked Tingsryds AIF and Karlskrona HK were forced to defend their places in HockeyAllsvenskan for the 2013–14 season.
Östersunds IK is a Swedish ice hockey club from Östersund. The club was founded in 1965, and has played 21 seasons in Sweden's second-tier hockey league. In 2003, the club transferred its A-team to Jämtland Hockey, and played three years under that name while Östersunds IK was left with only its youth hockey programs. Then in 2006, Östersunds IK merged with Brunflo IK, and took over Jämtland Hockey's position in Division 1.
1975-76 was the first season that Division 1 operated as the second tier of ice hockey in Sweden, this due to the creation of Elitserien as a new flight of the Swedish hockey system.
2005–06 was the seventh season that Division 1 functioned as the third-level of ice hockey in Sweden, below the second-level HockeyAllsvenskan and the top-level Elitserien.
