103rd Battalion, CEF

The 103rd Battalion, CEF, was an infantry battalion of the Great War Canadian Expeditionary Force. The 103rd Battalion was authorized on 22 December 1915 and embarked for Britain on 23 July 1916 aboard HMT Olympic. There, it provided reinforcements for the Canadian Corps in the field until 7 January 1917, when its personnel were absorbed by the 16th Reserve Battalion, CEF. The battalion disbanded on 1 September 1917.^[1]

The 103rd Battalion recruited in, and was mobilized at, Victoria, British Columbia.^[2]

The 103rd Battalion was commanded by Lt.-Col. E.C.J. Henniker from 23 July 1916 to 7 November 1916.^[2]

The 103rd Battalion was awarded the battle honour THE GREAT WAR 1916-17.^[2]

The 76th Battalion was authorized on 10 July 1915 and embarked for Great Britain on 23 April 1916. It provided reinforcements to the Canadian Corps in the field until 6 July 1916, when its personnel were absorbed by the 36th Battalion, CEF. The battalion was subsequently disbanded on 17 July 1917.

The 104th Battalion, CEF, was an infantry battalion of the Great War Canadian Expeditionary Force. The 104th Battalion was authorized on 22 December 1915 and embarked for Britain on 28 June 1916, where, on 18 July 1916, its personnel were absorbed by the 47th Battalion, CEF, 17th Reserve Battalion, CEF and the 32nd Battalion, CEF to provide reinforcements for the Canadian Corps in the field. The battalion disbanded on 27 July 1918.

The 112th Battalion, CEF, was an infantry battalion of the Great War Canadian Expeditionary Force. The 112th Battalion was authorized on 22 December 1915 and embarked for Great Britain on 23 July 1916, where it provided reinforcements for the Canadian Corps in the field until 7 January 1917, when its personnel were absorbed by the 26th Reserve Battalion, CEF. The battalion disbanded on 15 August 1918.

The 115th Battalion, CEF, was an infantry battalion of the Great War Canadian Expeditionary Force.
