Route 159 is a bus route in England that operates between Coalville and Hinckley. It is operated by Roberts Coaches.
The route operates approximately every 1.5 hours from Monday to Saturday. [1]
In November 2018, Roberts Coaches stated that the route was no longer commercially viable and that it would be withdrawn. [2] However, in December the local council agreed to continue funding the route. [3]
In December 2022, it was announced that the route would be withdrawn after 25 February 2023. The local council stated that at a cost of £162,000 per year it could not afford to continue subsidising the route. It stated that demand-responsive transport would be implemented for those who would no longer have a local bus route. [4] [5] [6]

It borders the upland area of Charnwood Forest to the east of the town.

Snibston is an area and former civil parish east of Ravenstone, now in the parish of Ravenstone with Snibstone, in the North West Leicestershire district, in the county of Leicestershire, England. This industrial part of Snibston was subsequently subsumed into the developing town of Coalville, though small rural areas of Snibston survive within the civil parishes of Ravenstone with Snibston and Hugglescote and Donington le Heath. In the part of Snibston within the latter civil parish stands the 13th-century church of St Mary, noted as the smallest church still in use for regular worship in England. The main Snibston Colliery was sunk in 1831, and after its closure the Snibston Country Park with the Snibston Discovery Museum was built on part of the colliery site. Part of the park is Snibston Grange Local Nature Reserve.

Fflecsi is a trial demand-responsive bus service administered by Transport for Wales (TfW) and local authorities, operated by local bus operators across Wales. Pilot trials of the service are conducted across Wales, which included a city-wide trial in Newport until September 2022. The effectiveness of the service is being monitored as full bus services resume in Wales during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the pilots, fflecsi will replace some pre-existing scheduled bus routes in the service areas where it operates. The technology behind the service is made by ViaVan, and the pilot is funded by the Welsh Government, to invest in new approaches to public transport in Wales as part of their Llwybr Newydd strategy. The pilot was included in Welsh Labour's manifesto for the 2021 Senedd election, as part of their plan to increase investment in bus services, and reducing Wales' carbon emissions.
