The 1929 Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer team represented Pennsylvania State University during the 1929 season playing in the Intercollegiate Soccer League. It was the program's 19th season fielding a men's varsity soccer team. The 1929 season is William Jeffrey's fourth year at the helm.
The 1929 season was the Nittany Lions' 19th season as a varsity soccer program, and their 4th season playing in the Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association League. The team was led by fourth year head coach, William Jeffrey, who had previously served as the head coach for the semi-professional soccer team, Altoona Works.
The Nittany Lions were crowned National Champions by the Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association and won the Intercollegiate Soccer League. This was their second title win all time and second title under the tenure of William Jeffrey. The team was the only in the league to remain undefeated beating out Penn, Yale and Harvard for the title. [1]

The Penn State Nittany Lions are the athletic teams of Pennsylvania State University, except for the women's basketball team, known as the Lady Lions. The school colors are navy blue and white. The school mascot is the Nittany Lion. The intercollegiate athletics logo was commissioned in 1983.

It has been home to Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer and Penn State Nittany Lions women's soccer since 1972. The stadium was dedicated and named after the late-Bill Jeffrey, who was Penn State men's soccer head coach from 1926 until 1952. Jeffrey Field had an initial seating capacity of 2,500, but was later increased to 3,000 in 1978. The stadium's capacity was increased again in 2003 to meet rising ticket needs.

His senior career includes stints with four different American clubs and experience in Major League Soccer. Playing collegiately at Penn State, Maloney was the 2014 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year.
Bo Dean Nickal is a wrestler who has competed as a freestyle wrestler, as a folkstyle wrestler, and most recently as an American amateur mixed martial artist. In freestyle, he claimed the 2019 U23 World Championship and the US Open National championship, and was a finalist at the 2020 US Olympic Team Trials and a Final X contestant in 2019. As a collegiate wrestler, Nickal was a three-time NCAA Division I National Champion and a three-time Big Ten Conference champion out of Pennsylvania State University. Nickal currently competes as a mixed martial artist in the middleweight division for American Top Team.
Ken Hosterman was the head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions men's soccer team from 1953 to 1967. During his tenure as head coach Hosterman won two ISFA national championships in 1954 and 1955, Coach of the Year award by the National Soccer Coaches Association in 1955. Hosterman served as a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the 455th Bombardment Group. Hosterman played varsity soccer and baseball while attending Penn State University.
