The World Games are an international multi-sport event comprising sports and sporting disciplines that are not contested in the Olympic Games. They are usually held every four years, one year after a Summer Olympic Games, over the course of 11 days. The World Games are governed by the International World Games Association, under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee.
Skeid is a Norwegian football club from Oslo that currently plays in 2. divisjon, the third tier of the Norwegian football league system. GTrans is a municipal transit agency that serves Gardena, California and surrounding Los Angeles County neighbourhoods. It was founded on January 15, 1940, as Gardena Municipal Bus Lines. On the agency's 75th anniversary, the agency was renamed as GTrans. The bus lines complement the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority's crosstown routes through the city. Carroll Field was an exhibition ground in Waco, Texas, owned by Baylor University; the Baylor Bears football program played games there from 1902 to 1925, with the exception of 1906 when football was banned on campus, and from 1930 to 1935. Following the construction of the Carroll Science Building in 1902, the field was located between the building and Waco Creek; the field took over as the location of football games from an unnamed field adjacent to and northwest of Old Main. Lee Carroll made a donation for the field to be constructed, and his father and grandfather had also donated to build the Carroll Science Building and Carroll Library. From 1926 to 1929, Baylor football games were played at the Cotton Palace in Waco. During Baylor's first season, they were beat 33–0 by Texas A&M, but the Waco Times-Herald attempted to make the loss positive, saying, "For an eleven many of whose players did not know the shape of the oval until this season, Baylor put up a fair exhibition.”
The Balkan Athletics Championships or Balkan Games is a regional athletics competition held between nations from the Balkans and organized by Balkan Athletics. The first games were held in Athens in 1929, and the most recent were being held in Izmir in 2024.
The Detroit Mechanix are an American professional ultimate frisbee team based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Mechanix compete in the formerly titled American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL), now known as the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA) as a member team of the league's Central Division. The Mechanix began play in 2012 as one of the eight charter teams of the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL). The team is owned by Brent Steepe and was founded in 2010.
The 1940 Miami Hurricanes football team represented the University of Miami as a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) in the 1940 college football season. The Hurricanes played their nine home games at Burdine Stadium in Miami, Florida. The team was led by fourth-year head coach Jack Harding and finished with a 3–7 record, unranked in the AP poll.

The Tokyo Equestrian Park is an equestrian sport venue located in Setagaya, Tokyo. The venue is owned by the Japan Racing Association and is a public park all year round, known familiarly as 'Horse Park'.
