The 1964 Franklin & Marshall Diplomats football team was an American football team that represented Franklin & Marshall College as a member of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), College Division Southern, during the 1964 NCAA College Division football season. The team played its home games at Williamson Field in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

History

During its second season under head coach George H. Storck, this team compiled an 8–0 record (7–0 against MAC opponents) and won the MAC College Division Southern championship. [1] It was the second perfect season in the school's history. Additional perfect seasons were 1950, 1972, and 1974.

Franklin & Marshall's triple-threat quarterback Seiki Murono was selected as the most valuable player in the Southern Division of the MAC. [2] He also received the 1964 Maxwell Club Award. [3]

In 1969, he became one of the inaugural inductees into the Franklin & Marshall College Athletics Hall of Fame.

The 1959 Bowling Green Falcons football team was an American football team that represented Bowling Green State University in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) during the 1959 NCAA College Division football season. In their fifth season under head coach Doyt Perry, the Falcons compiled a perfect 9–0 record, won the MAC championship, and outscored opponents by a combined total of 274 to 83. The team was voted by the United Press International Board of Coaches as the 1959 national small college champion. The team was inducted as a group into the Bowling Green Hall of Fame in 2013.
