Adriano Panatta is a former professional tennis player from Italy. He won the French Open in 1976, and was the only player ever to defeat Björn Borg at Roland Garros, doing so on two occasions.

Second-seeded Ilie Năstase defeated Nikola Pilić 6–3, 6–3, 6–0 in the final to win the Men's Singles tennis title at the 1973 French Open.
