Travis Ford is an American college basketball coach, who is currently the head coach of the Saint Louis Billikens men's basketball team. He was also previously the head coach at Campbellsville University, Eastern Kentucky, Massachusetts, and Oklahoma State. Prior to that, he played at the University of Missouri and the University of Kentucky.
The Duquesne Dukes are the athletic teams of Duquesne University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Dukes compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. Football and bowling, however, compete in the Northeast Conference.
The Pittsburgh Panthers men's basketball team is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program of the University of Pittsburgh, often referred to as "Pitt", located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pitt has reached one Final Four, received 15 First Team All-American selections, appeared in 27 NCAA tournaments through the 2022–23 season, and has recorded 1,674 victories against 1,232 losses since their inaugural season of 1905–06.

UNC won its six NCAA tournament games by double digits, and by an average of 19.8 points per game. Junior Wayne Ellington was named Final Four Most Outstanding Player.

The Maryland Terrapins won their first NCAA national championship with a 64–52 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers.
The 2010–11 Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team represented Xavier University in the 2010–11 college basketball season. This was head coach Chris Mack's second season at Xavier. The Musketeers competed in the Atlantic 10 Conference and played their home games at the Cintas Center. They finished the season 24–8, 15–1 in A-10 play to win the regular season conference championship. The Musketeers lost in the quarterfinals of the A-10 tournament to Dayton. They received an at-large bid in the NCAA tournament as a #6 seed where they lost in the second round to Marquette.
The 1980 Eastern 8 men's basketball tournament was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the Civic Arena from February 26, 1980, to March 1, 1980. Villanova defeated West Virginia 74-62 to win their second tournament championship. Lowes Moore of West Virginia was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.
The 1981 Eastern 8 men's basketball tournament was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the Civic Arena from March 3–7, 1981. Pittsburgh defeated Duquesne 64-60 to win their first tournament championship. Lenny McMillan of Pittsburgh was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.
The 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference held from March 12–16 in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the Greensboro Coliseum. This was the first ACC Tournament to include 15 teams, a result of the conference adding Syracuse, Pitt, and Notre Dame, and also the last to feature Maryland, which left after the season for the Big Ten Conference. Seeds #5 through #9 received a first-round bye, and the top four seeds received a first- and second-round "double bye".

It was held March 8–12, 2017 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The championship was won by Rhode Island who defeated VCU in the championship game. As a result, Rhode Island received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
The 2016–17 Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball season was the 41st season of Atlantic 10 Conference basketball. The 2017 Atlantic 10 men's basketball tournament was held at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from March 8–12, 2017. Dayton won the regular season championship. Rhode Island won the A-10 Tournament by beating VCU in the tournament championship. As a result, Rhode Island received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Three A-10 teams received bids to the NCAA Tournament: Dayton, VCU, and Rhode Island. Both Dayton and VCU lost in the first round while Rhode Island lost in the second round. Richmond received the conference's sole bid to the National Invitation Tournament while George Mason and George Washington received bids to the College Basketball Invitational.
The 2018 ACC men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York from March 6–10, 2018. It was the 65th annual edition of the tournament, and the second year in a row being held at Barclays Center. The Virginia Cavaliers entered the tournament as the top seed, with a 17–1 conference record under the guidance of Tony Bennett. UVA also began the tournament unanimously ranked number 1 in the country in both major polls.
The 2019 Atlantic 10 women's basketball tournament was a postseason tournament that conclude the 2018–19 season of the Atlantic 10 Conference. It was played at campus sites on March 5 for the first round, with the remaining games held on March 8–10 at the Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Fordham defeated VCU, 62–47, to win the tournament championship and earn the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

The 1988 MAC men's basketball tournament was held March 8-10 at Centennial Hall in Toledo, Ohio. Top-seeded Eastern Michigan defeated Ohio in the championship game by the score of 94–80 to win their first MAC men's basketball tournament and a bid to the NCAA tournament. There they lost to Pittsburgh in the first round. Grant Long of Eastern Michigan was named the tournament MVP.
