The 1985–86 Polska Liga Hokejowa season was the 51st season of the Polska Liga Hokejowa, the top level of ice hockey in Poland. 10 teams participated in the league, and Polonia Bytom won the championship.

Polonia Bytom association football club in Poland

Polonia Bytom is a Polish football club founded on 4 January 1920 in the Upper Silesian city of Bytom, during the hectic months of the Silesian Uprisings. In late 1922, however, as a result of the Upper Silesia plebiscite, Bytom became part of Germany and the club ceased to exist.

GKS Tychy is a Polish professional football club, based in Tychy, Poland, that plays in the Polish I Liga. The club was founded on 20 April 1971. It played in the Ekstraklasa between 1974–1977. The biggest success of GKS Tychy was the 2nd place in the 1975/76 season of the Ekstraklasa, behind Stal Mielec. As a result, the team played in the UEFA Cup 1976-77, losing to 1. FC Köln.

Naprzód Janów is an ice hockey team from the Janów neighbourhood of Katowice, Poland. They compete in the Polska Hokej Liga, the top level of ice hockey in Poland.

Podhale Nowy Targ is a Polish ice hockey club based in Nowy Targ, Poland. They currently play in the Polska Hokej Liga. Legally, they are known as SSA KH Podhale Nowy Targ, and TatrySki Podhale Nowy Targ for sponsorship reasons.

Zagłębie Sosnowiec is a football (soccer) club based in Sosnowiec, Poland. The club was established in 1906. It won Polish Cup four times, and also was four times Polish runner up. Apart from football, the organization of Zagłębie has other departments, such as ice-hockey and men's volleyball.

Due to financial constraints, KH Zagłębie Sosnowiec, Naprzód Janów, and STS Sanok did not return to the league. Sosnowiec and Janów dropped down to the Polish 1. Liga, while Sanok suspended operations altogether.

The 2017–18 Polish Cup was the sixty-fourth season of the annual Polish football knockout tournament. It began on 14 July 2017 with the first matches of the preliminary round and ended on 2 May 2018 with the final at PGE Narodowy. Winners of the competition will qualify for the qualifying tournament of the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League.
