The 1985 World Archery Championships was the 33rd edition of the World Archery Championships. The event was held in Seoul, South Korea in October 1985 and was organised by World Archery Federation (FITA). [1] In this competition, the Korean men's team broke the United States' 26-year reign as champions. [2]

Son trained in Russia. She is also a recipient of the Talent Medal of Korea in 2011.

Oh Jin-Hyek is a South Korean archer. Oh first competed for the Korean national team in 1999, but did not win a major individual international tournament until he won the gold medal in the Men's individual event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, also becoming the first Korean male archer to win an Olympic individual Gold medal. With partners Im Dong-Hyun and Kim Bub-Min, he also finished in third place in the Men's team event. He was the world number one ranked archer from April 2013 to June 2014, winning the individual gold medal at the 2013 Archery World Cup Final and two individual silver medals at the 2011 and 2013 World Championships.

Kim Kyung-Ho is a South Korean archer who won the 1997 World Archery Championships in Victoria, British Columbia.

He reached a career high world ranking of 5 in 2013, and in 2016 he ranked 8th.

Chang Hye-jin is a South Korean archer and two-time Olympic gold medalist. She achieved both her gold medals at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, winning in both the women's team and women's individual events.

Archery at the 2016 Summer Paralympics

Archery at the 2016 Summer Paralympics was held between 10 and 17 September 2016 at the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí in the Maracana zone of Rio de Janeiro, and consisted of nine events. The make up of those events changed substantially from the 2012 games, and consisted of three men's events, three women's events and three events for mixed gender teams. Men, women and mixed teams each competed in two events for compound bow, one for wheelchair athletes, the other open, and an open event for recurve bow, the bow used for all Olympic events.

The IBSA World Games or World Blind Games are an international multi-sport event, occurring every four years, organized by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA). The events enable blind and partially sighted athletes to compete in a number of sports. The first event took place at Madrid, Spain in 1998.
