The 1990–91 Sunbelt Independent Soccer League was an American indoor soccer season run by the Sunbelt Independent Soccer League during the winter of 1990-91.

History

In the fall of 1990, the league expanded outside of the western United States for the first time when it added teams from Arkansas, Georgia and Tennessee. The expansion led the league to change its name to the Sunbelt Independent Soccer League.

Awards

Caesar Cervin is a retired American soccer forward who coached the Texas Outlaws of the Professional Arena Soccer League. He played professionally in the Major Indoor Soccer League, United Soccer League and Southwest Indoor Soccer League (SISL). He later coached teams in the SISL where he was the 1991 Coach of the Year, USISL, Lone Star Soccer Alliance and was a fourteen-year assistant coach with the Dallas Sidekicks.

Oklahoma City Slickers

The Oklahoma City Slickers was the name given to two different American soccer clubs based in Oklahoma City. The first team competed in the second American Soccer League in 1982 and 1983, and as the Oklahoma City Stampede in the United Soccer League in 1984 and 1985. The second Oklahoma City Slickers competed in the USISL from 1993 to 1996.

The Tucson Amigos were a soccer club based in Tucson, Arizona that competed in the SISL, USISL and United Soccer Leagues. Founder of the Tucson Amigos was Dennis Archer a local business owner of the Tucson Amigos Indoor Soccer Center.

Petar "Peter" Baralic is a retired Yugoslavian National Team and Olympic Team "Captain" soccer player who played professionally in Europe and in the North American Soccer League and Major Indoor Soccer League. He played for the highly ranked Red Star team in Europe. He coached the Arizona Sandsharks and Arizona Thunder. He also coached the Phoenix Hearts of the Southwest Indoor Soccer League.
