Telethon 1992 is the 11th version of the solidarity campaign conducted in Chile, which took place on 27 and 28 November 1992. The theme of this version was "There is so much to do." The goal was reached with $2,512,056,801 (at that time, later the total was released as $2,874,230,697). The poster boy was Nicholas Sanchez.
The event ended with a Brazilian-Style Carnival finale, with traditional costume and traditional dancing. It would be the end of the old era, entering the New Era in 1994.[ clarification needed ]

Nubeluz was a Peruvian children's show produced by Panamericana Televisión that aired from September 8, 1990 to November 7. 1996. It aired in a total of 19 Latin American countries, as well as the United States, Turkey, the Philippines, Egypt, Japan, Indonesia and China. It was produced by Rochi Hernández and written by Alonso Alegría, Maritza Kirchhausen, Catalina Lohmann, Clara María Cavagnaro and Fernando Gagliuffi, and was hosted by a group of female presenters called Dalinas, the best known being Mónica Santa María and Almendra Gomelsky.
Canal 13 is a Chilean free-to-air television network. Informally known in Chile as El 13, it is the second oldest television station in the country. It was launched on 21 August 1959, on VHF channel 2 of Santiago, in a broadcast led and founded by a group of engineers from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Juan David García Bacca was a Spanish-Venezuelan philosopher and university professor. He was born in Pamplona on June 26, 1901, and died on August 5, 1992, in Quito, Ecuador. Bacca began his education under the Claretians and was ordained as a priest in 1925. He continued his studies at the University of Munich, the University of Zurich, and the University of Paris. However, during the 1930s, he left the Church and pursued philosophy at the University of Barcelona. In 1936 after criticizing Francisco Franco, Bacca was forced to live in exile. He first traveled to Ecuador where he taught at the Central University of Ecuador (1939-1942). While in Ecuador he became close friends with a writer named Alfredo Pareja Diezcanseco. He then went to Mexico where he taught at UNAM from 1942 to 1946. He eventually established himself in Venezuela in 1946 and was granted citizenship in 1952. Bacca was a professor at the Central University of Venezuela until his retirement in 1971. He was recognized for his life's work and was awarded the National Prize for Literature in 1978.

The amount of money taken during the day suggested the goal would not be achieved, in the end it required a cash assistance by the Government of Chile to meet the goal. The poster boy chosen for the event was Camilo Valverde.
