Brendan Joseph Hansen is an American former competition swimmer who specialized in breaststroke events. Hansen is a six-time Olympic medalist, and is also a former world record-holder in both the 100-meter and 200-meter breaststroke events.
Nicholas Gillingham, is an English former competitive swimmer, active in the 1980's and 1990's. Born in Walsall, he represented Great Britain in the Olympics, FINA World championships and European championships, as well as representing England in the Commonwealth Games. Medalling in two Olympic Games in 1988 and 1992, he was a World, European and Commonwealth champion in his specialist event, the 200 metres breaststroke. His career broadly overlapped with fellow British breaststroker and Olympic 100 metre breaststroke champion, Adrian Moorhouse.
The FINA World Junior Swimming Championships is a swimming championship event organized by FINA for girls aged 14–17 and boys aged 15–18 on 31 December of the year of the competition. It is held biennially, and has been held since 2006.
Eric Lee Shanteau is an American former competition swimmer who won two gold medals as a member of winning United States relay teams at the World Championships. He was a member of the 2008 and 2012 U.S. Olympic teams, and earned a gold medal as a member of the winning U.S. team in the 4×100-meter medley relay at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Shanteau also holds the world record as a member of the U.S. 4×100-meter medley relay team that competed at the 2009 FINA World Championship in Rome.
Mario González Montesinos is a former international breaststroke swimmer from Cuba, who participated in two consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1992. His best result was a tenth place in the Men's 200m Breaststroke at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.
The men's 200 metre breaststroke at the 2007 World Aquatics Championships took place on 29 March and on the evening of 30 March (final) at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia. 85 swimmers were entered in the event, of which 79 swam.
Kevin Cordes is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in breaststroke events. He currently represents the Cali Condors which is part of the International Swimming League. Cordes was a member of the 2016 U.S. Men's Olympic Swimming Team. He won gold in the 4×100 m medley relay as a member of the preliminary relay, and took 4th place in the Men's 100m Breaststroke at the 2016 Olympic Games. He is the former American record holder in the 50-meter and 100-meter breaststroke.
Nicolas Fink is an American competition swimmer who specializes in breaststroke events. He won three gold medals, two silver medals, and a bronze medal at the at the 2021 World Short Course Championships in relay and individual breaststroke events. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, he placed fifth in the 200 meter breaststroke. He won the silver medal in the 200 meter breaststroke at the 2014 Pan Pacific Championships, and a gold medal in the 4×100 meter medley relay and a silver medal in the 200 meter breaststroke at the 2019 Pan American Games. He currently represents the Cali Condors which is part of the International Swimming League.
Swimming at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships was held between 2 and 9 August 2015 in Kazan, Russia. The United States won the overall medal count, led by Katie Ledecky who claimed five gold medals.
Anton Mikhailovich Chupkov is a Russian competitive swimmer. He is the holder of the world record in the long course 200 metre breaststroke and the Russian record in the long course 100 metre breaststroke. At the 2015 European Games he won four gold medals in individual and relay events. He won the bronze medal in the 200 metre breaststroke at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He won the gold medal in the 200 metre breaststroke at the 2017 and 2019 World Aquatics Championships.

Ilya Syarheyevich Shymanovich is a Belarusian swimmer. He is the world record holder in the short course 100 metre breaststroke and a former world record holder in the short course 50 metre breaststroke. At the 2018 World Championships he won two silver medals, one each in the 100 metre breaststroke and the 50 metre breaststroke. He won two gold medals, one in the 50 metre breaststroke and one in the 200 metre breaststroke, and a silver medal, in the 100 metre breaststroke, at the 2021 European Short Course Championships. At the 2021 World Short Course Championships he won the gold medal in the 100 metre breaststroke.
James Wilby is a British competitive swimmer who specialises in the breaststroke. He has represented Great Britain at two FINA World Aquatics Championships, winning a silver in the 100m breaststroke and a gold in the medley relay, and England at two Commonwealth Games, where he has won two gold medals.
Andrew Wilson is an American swimmer. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, he placed 6th in the 100 meter breaststroke, 17th in the 200 meter breaststroke, and won a gold medal in the 4x100 meter medley relay, for his efforts in the prelims of the relay.
