The 1999 Friendship Tournament was the 5th edition of the Friendship Tournament, and was held from 30 October to 3 November 1999 in the United Arab Emirates. Four teams participated: the United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Iraq, and Turkmenistan. Iraq won the tournament. [1]

The 1996 AFC Asian Cup was the 11th edition of the men's AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The finals were held in the United Arab Emirates between 4 and 21 December 1996. Saudi Arabia defeated hosts United Arab Emirates in the final match in Abu Dhabi. As the runners-up, the United Arab Emirates represented the AFC in the 1997 FIFA Confederations Cup as the winners Saudi Arabia had qualified automatically as host.

The 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship took place in United Arab Emirates between 27 November and 19 December 2003. The 2003 championship was the 14th contested. The competition was originally planned to be played 25 March to 16 April in that year, but was postponed because of the Iraq War.

2008 AFC U-16 Championship qualification was the qualification for the 2008 AFC U-16 Championship football competition. The matches were held from 1 October to 7 November 2007.

2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup International football competition

The 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup was the fifteenth tournament of the FIFA U-17 World Cup. The tournament was held in the United Arab Emirates between 17 October and 8 November. Nigeria won the tournament after defeating Mexico 3–0 in the final, claiming the country's fourth title. Sweden won the bronze with a 4–1 victory over Argentina in the third-place play-off match.

The 2011 Etisalat Emirates Cup final was the 3rd final since its establishment. The match took place at the Mohammad bin Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, on 29 April 2011. The match was won by Al Shabab, who beat Al Ain 2–3 to win their first title. and it was refereed by Ali Hamad.

The 2018–19 Arab Club Champions Cup, officially named the 2018–19 Zayed Champions Cup to mark 100 years since the birth of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, was the 28th season of the Arab World's inter-club football tournament organised by UAFA, and the first season since it was renamed from the Arab Club Championship to the Arab Club Champions Cup.
