The 2000 Cairns Cyclones season was the fifth and final season that the Cairns Cyclones rugby league team competed in the Queensland Cup. Due to sponsorship requirements, the competition was renamed the Bundy Gold Cup. Twelve teams competed in the 22 round competition. The Cairns Cyclones team was managed by Nigel Tillett and coached by Brad Tessman.
The Cairns Cyclones were a rugby league team that competed in the QRL Queensland Cup competition from 1996 to 2000. The inaugural 1996 team included the Captain/Coach and six first grade players from CDRL's Smithfield-based Ivanhoes Rugby League Club.
Rugby league football is a full-contact sport played by two teams of thirteen players on a rectangular field. One of the two codes of rugby, it originated in Northern England in 1895 as a split from the Rugby Football Union over the issue of payments to players. Its rules progressively changed with the aim of producing a faster, more entertaining game for spectators.
The Queensland Cup is the top level of rugby league football in Queensland, Australia. Run by the QRL, the competition is known as the Intrust Super Cup due to sponsorship from Intrust Super and is contested by fourteen teams, twelve of which are based in Queensland, with one based in New South Wales and one based in Papua New Guinea.
Ty Williams is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer for the North Queensland Cowboys in the National Rugby League competition.

Redcliffe Dolphins are a rugby league team based in the city of Redcliffe in Queensland, Australia. The Redcliffe Dolphins were founded in 1947, accepted into the Brisbane Rugby League premiership in 1960, and since 1996 have played in the Queensland Cup. The Dolphins are one of the greatest survivors of rugby league in Australia, having being the most thriving Brisbane Rugby League team until the admission of NRL team, Brisbane Broncos which caused the decline of the BRL. The Redcliffe Dolphins have won the most Queensland Cup titles out of any other teams with 6 premierships and is considered one of the most successful rugby league clubs in Queensland.

The Eastern Suburbs Tigers or East Brisbane Tigers, or often simply referred to as Easts, are a rugby league club based at Langlands Park, which is in the suburb of Coorparoo in Brisbane, Australia. They competed in the Brisbane Rugby League from 1934 to 1996. From 1996 they have competed in the Queensland Cup. Their jersey is traditionally an all gold jersey with two black 'V's. In recent years they have included white in their jersey.
The Logan Scorpions were an Australian rugby league football club from the suburb of Slacks Creek in Logan City, Queensland. Due to financial difficulties, the club ceased operation at the end of the 2002 Queensland Cup season, and merged with the Souths Magpies to form a new team, the Souths Logan Magpies.
Peninsula Power is an Australian football (soccer) club from Redcliffe, Queensland. The club was formed in 2000 following a merger of the Redcliffe City and Margate soccer clubs. The club currently competes in the Brisbane Premier League. In May 2017, Football Queensland announced Peninsula Power FC were among the 14 clubs accepted to form the Football Queensland Premier League for its initial season in 2018.
The North Queensland Young Guns were a rugby league team competing in the Queensland Cup. They acted as a feeder team for the North Queensland Cowboys. The Cowboys had previously entered reserve grade teams in the Australian Rugby League and Super League competitions. However, to prevent a drain on travelling expenses, the Cowboys applied to join the Queensland Cup for the 1998 season. Competing as the Townsville Stingers, the reserve grade team had some initial success before narrowly missing the finals. The team was excluded from the 1999 Queensland Cup season, and the Cowboys decided to enter their teams into the predominantly New South Wales-based First Division for the 2000 and 2001 seasons. Readmitted to the Queensland Cup in 2002, the Young Guns would win the competition in 2005 with a 36-6 win against defending premiers Burleigh Bears in the grand final.
Northern Pride Rugby League Football Club is a Queensland rugby league club founded in 2007. Based in Cairns, Queensland they compete in the QRL State competition, the Intrust Super Cup, formerly the Wizard Queensland Cup. The club represents Far North Queensland.
The 2007 Queensland Cup was the 12th Season of the statewide Rugby league Queensland competition. 11 clubs competed in the 26-week-long season which was eventually won by a northern New South Wales club, the Tweed Heads Seagulls who beat the Redcliffe Dolphins 28-18 in the 2007 Grand Final at Suncorp Stadium. This season saw the Aspley Broncos enter the competition. At the end of the season however, they left the competition along with the North Queensland Young Guns.
The 1996 Queensland Cup season was the 1st season of Queensland's premier statewide competition. It had been formed after the Winfield State League was closed after the end of the 1995 Season. It was subsequently superseded by the Queensland Cup. At this time it was considered as the second highest league, directly under the Brisbane Rugby League. It would run under the BRL until 1998 when it would become the highest rugby league competition in the state.
2011 was the fourth competitive season for the Cairns based Skill360 Northern Pride Rugby League Football Club. They competed in the QRL state competition, the Intrust Super Cup. 12 clubs competed, with each club playing 22 matches over 25 weeks.

2009 was the second competitive season for the Cairns based CRGT Northern Pride Rugby League Football Club. They competed in the QRL state competition, which in 2009 was called the Wizard Queensland Cup. The addition of the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles meant 12 clubs participated, with each club playing 22 matches over 26 weeks. In 2009 the Wizard Queensland Cup introduced a six-team finals series.
2014 was the seventh competitive season for the Cairns based Sea Swift Northern Pride Rugby League Football Club. They played in the QRL state competition, the Intrust Super Cup. 13 clubs competed, with each club playing 24 matches over 26 weeks. In 2014 the Papua New Guinea Hunters were admitted to the competition and the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles reverted to their original name, the Sunshine Coast Falcons.
The 1996 Cairns Cyclones season was the first season that the Cairns Cyclones rugby league team competed in the inaugural Queensland Cup. Three teams had left the competition at the end of the 1996 season, the Bundaberg Grizzlies, Mackay Sea Eagles and the Sunshine Coast Falcons and one team, the Gold Coast Burleigh Bears had joined.
The 1998 Cairns Cyclones season was the third season that the Cairns Cyclones rugby league team competed in the Queensland Cup. The 2018 Football Queensland season was the sixth season since NPL Queensland commenced as the top tier of Queensland men’s football. This season was also the initial season of the Football Queensland Premier League which occupied the second tier in Queensland men’s football in 2018.
