The FIVB World Grand Prix 2009 is a women's volleyball tournament that was played by 12 countries from 31 July to 23 August 2009. The finals were held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. Brazil, United States, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico qualified for the tournament at the 2008 Women's Pan-American Cup in Mexicali and Tijuana, Mexico.

The Montreux Volley Masters was an international invitational tournament for national teams in women's volleyball hosted by the Swiss Volley. Held annually in Montreux, Switzerland since 1984, it was the tournament that opened the international season for national teams. It ceased to exist after 34 editions in 2020.

The 2002 FIVB World Grand Prix was the tenth women's volleyball tournament of its kind. The event was held over four weeks in three countries and six cities throughout Asia: Philippines, Thailand, PR China, Chinese Taipei and Japan, culminating with the final round at Hong Kong Coliseum in Hong Kong from 1 to 4 August 2002.

The 2003 FIVB Women's U20 World Championship was held in Suphanburi, Thailand from September 6 to 14, 2003. 16 teams participated in the tournament.

The 2017 Women's South American Volleyball Club Championship was the ninth official edition of the women's volleyball tournament, played by six teams from 14 to 18 February 2017 in Uberaba and Uberlândia, Brazil. Rio de Janeiro won its third consecutive title, the fourth overall, and qualified for the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in Kobe, Japan. Gabriela Guimarães was elected the Most Valuable Player.

The 2007 FIVB Girls Youth Volleyball World Championship was held in Tijuana / Mexicali, Mexico from 31 July to 11 August 2009. 16 teams participated in the tournament.

The 2003 FIVB Girls Youth Volleyball World Championship was held in Piła/Wloclawek, Poland from 9 to 17 August 2003. 16 teams participated in the tournament.
