The 2003 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 18th edition of the Women's Continental Volleyball Tournament, played by eight countries from September 13 to September 18, 2003 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The United States won the championship by defeating Cuba 3-0, [1] and both teams qualified to the 2003 FIVB World Cup. [2] The Dominican Republic won the bronze medal.

The 2001 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 17th edition of the Women's Continental Volleyball Tournament, played by six countries from October 10 to October 14, 2001 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The United States won the gold medal over Cuba and qualified for the 2001 FIVB World Grand Champions Cup; the Dominican Republic was third after winning over the Mexican team. Puerto Rico withdrawed and was replaced by Costa Rica; Canada and Jamaica cancelled their participation because of the recent flying problems derived by the September 11 attacks.

Carmen Rosa Caso Sierra is a retired volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who won the bronze medal with the Dominican women's national team at the 2007 NORCECA Championship. She also became "Best Libero" of the event.

She also won the gold medal at the 2010 Pan-American Cup and the silver at the 2009 and 2013 editions.

Brayelin Elizabeth Martínez is a Dominican volleyball player who won the bronze medal in the 2015 Pan American Games as a member of the Dominican Republic national team. She played in the 2014 Senior World Championship and the 2011 and 2015 FIVB World Cup.

Jineiry Martínez is a Dominican volleyball player who played the 2015 FIVB World Cup with the Dominican Republic national team. She won the bronze medal in the 2015 Pan American Games. With her under ages national teams, she won the gold medal in the 2015 FIVB U20 World Championship, silver in the 2013 FIVB U23 World Championship and bronze in the 2015 FIVB U23 World Championship.

Winifer María Fernández Pérez is a Dominican female volleyball player. With her club Mirador she competed at the 2015 FIVB Club World Championship. She became well known after a video and later some photos of her playing and training, and personal photos of her--some of them fake--went viral in July 2016.

The 2016 Women's U23 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the third edition of the bi-annual volleyball tournament. It was held in Miraflores and San Vicente de Cañete, Peru from 19 to 25 September among six countries. The Dominican Republic won the tournament for third time and qualified for the 2017 FIVB U23 World Championship along with silver medalists Argentina and Cuba, winners of the bronze medal. Dominican Republic player Brayelin Martínez won the Most Valuable Player award.

The 2019 Boys' Youth Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the third edition of the bi-annual Continental Cup, played by seven countries from April 22–30, 2019 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Cuba won the tournament beating Mexico in the finals. As Cuba had already qualified for the U19 World Championship through the NORCECA Championship, Mexico and the Dominican Republic qualified instead. Jose Miguel Gutierrez won the MVP award.
