The 2005 UCI Track Cycling World Championships were the World Championship for track cycling. They took place in Los Angeles, United States from March 24 to March 27, 2005.

18 Cyclists from 14 countries were due to participate in the contest, Christin Muche of Germany did not start. The Final was held on March 24 at 19:35.

Christin Muche is a German female track cyclist, and part of the national team. She competed at the 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2010 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. She won the bronze medal in the keirin event at the 2008 UCI Track Cycling World Championships.

Great Britain were the most successful team of the competition in total medals (18) and in number of gold medals (8). The Championships saw 11 new world records set.

The 2017–18 UCI Track Cycling World Cup was a multi-race tournament over a track cycling season. It was the 26th series of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup organised by the UCI. The series was run from 3 November 2017 to 21 January 2018 and consisted of five rounds.
