2009 Men's European Volleyball Championship was held from September 3 to September 13, 2009 in İzmir and Istanbul, Turkey.

The 1997 Men's European Volleyball Championship Qualification was the qualifying event for the 20th edition of the event, hosted in Eindhoven and Den Bosch, The Netherlands from 6 September to 14 September 1997, and organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the European Volleyball Confederation. The qualifying matches were played in 1996 and 1997. The Netherlands qualified as hosts while Italy, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Russia automatically qualified from the 1995 edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship. The 2011 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 27th edition of the European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. It was held in Austria and Czech Republic from 10 to 18 September 2011.

The 2009 FIVB Volleyball Boys' Youth World Championship was held in Jesolo and Bassano del Grappa, Italy from 28 August to 6 September 2009. 16 teams participated in the tournament.

The 2012 Boys' Youth NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the eighth edition of the bi-annual Volleyball Tournament, played by eight countries from July 2–7, 2012 in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. The top two teams other than Mexico qualified to the 2013 Boys Youth World Championship, Mexico had already secured a berth as Host.

The 2013 Boys' Youth European Volleyball Championship. Qualification was played in the Czech Republic, Latvia, Slovakia, Turkey and Hungary from January 3 to 7, 2013. The final round was contested between April 12 and 21, 2013. The top six teams qualified for the 2013 Youth World Championship.

The 2015 Boys' Youth European Volleyball Championship was played in Kocaeli and Sakarya, Turkey from April 4 – 12, 2015. The top six teams were qualified for the 2015 Youth World Championship.

The 2005 Boys' Youth European Volleyball Championship was the 6th edition of the Boys' Youth European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. It was held in Riga, Latvia from March 29 to April 3, 2005.

The 2017 Boys' Youth European Volleyball Championship was played in Slovakia and Hungary from 22 to 30 April 2017. The top six teams qualified for the 2017 Youth World Championship.

The qualification for the 2013 Boys' Youth European Volleyball Championship was held from January 8–11, 2015. 31 teams are split into eight groups of 3 or 4 teams. The group winners and second placed teams were qualified for the 2015 Boys' Youth European Volleyball Championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.

The tournament was held in Tunis and Radès, Tunisia from 21 to 30 August 2019. Tunisia played hosts for this event for the first time.

The 2019 Men's South American Volleyball Championship was the 33rd edition of the Men's South American Volleyball Championship, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). The tournament was held in Mostazal, Santiago and Temuco, Chile from 10 to 14 September 2019. The top four teams which had not yet qualified to the 2020 Summer Olympics qualified for the 2020 South American Olympic Qualification Tournament.

Originally, the tournament was scheduled to be hosted jointly by Italy and Greece, but the latter gave up the hosting right. The tournament was held in Lecce and Marsicovetere, Italy from 5 to 13 September 2020. The top six teams of the tournament qualified for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship as the CEV representatives.

The 2021 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship was the 17th edition of the FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship, contested by the men's national teams under the age of 19 of the members of the FIVB, the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held in Iran from 24 August to 2 September 2021.
