The 2007 CAR Women's Sevens was a regional tournament that took place on 16 June 2007 at the Kyadondo Rugby Club in Kampala, Uganda. [1] [2] Emerging South Africa won the tournament after defeating Uganda in the Cup final. [3] [4]

The Africa Women's Sevens is the continental championship for women's international rugby sevens in Africa. The tournament sanctioned and sponsored by Rugby Africa which is the rugby union governing body for the continent.

The Africa section of 2015 Rugby World Cup qualifying saw thirteen teams competing for one direct qualification spot into the final tournament in England, and one spot in the Repechage play-offs.

The tournament was played as a single round-robin at the Bosman Stadium in Brakpan from 9–17 August 2019. Four women's national teams competed.

The 2008 CAR Women's Sevens was a qualification tournament for the inaugural 2009 Women's Rugby World Cup Sevens, the competition was held on 20−21 September in Kampala, Uganda. South Africa and hosts, Uganda, were the teams to claim the two available slots for the tournament.

The 2012 CAR Women's Sevens was a qualification tournament for the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens which took place in Rabat on 29 to 30 September 2012. There was only one spot available in the World Cup for the region since South Africa had qualified automatically from their semifinal placement in the 2009 World Cup Sevens.

The 2014 CAR Women's Sevens was a regional tournament that was held in Machakos, Kenya on 12 April. South Africa successfully defended their title with a win over Kenya in the Cup final, they went undefeated throughout the competition.

The 2013 CAR Women's Sevens was a regional tournament that was held in Tunis, Tunisia on 20 and 21 April 2013. SouthcAfrica defeated hosts, Tunisia, to win the Championship.

The 2006 CAR Women's Sevens was a regional tournament that was held at the Kyadondo Rugby Club in Kampala, Uganda, on 24 June 2006. South Africa Emerging beat Uganda in the Cup final to win the tournament.
