Dublin GAA Irish Gaelic football team

The Dublin County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) or Dublin GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in the Dublin Region and the Dublin inter-county teams. The team and its fans are known as "The Dubs" or "Boys in Blue". The fans have a special affiliation with the Hill 16 end of Croke Park

Gaelic football, commonly referred to as football or Gaelic, is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar 2.5 metres (8.2 ft) above the ground.

Ardscoil Rís is a boys' secondary school on Griffith Avenue, Dublin, Ireland. The school caters for approximately 530 students every year.

The All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship is the premier inter-county competition in the game of ladies' Gaelic football in Ireland. The series of games are organised by the Ladies' Gaelic Football Association and are played during the summer months, with the All-Ireland Final being played at Croke Park in Dublin on the last Sunday in September or the first Sunday in October. The qualifiers were introduced in 2008.

Alan Brogan is a Gaelic footballer from the St Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh club who played inter-county with Dublin from 2002 until his retirement in 2015. He can play in the full forward line but usually played centre half forward for Dublin.

Conal Keaney is an Irish footballer and hurler who plays for Dublin and Ballyboden St. Enda's.

St Vincents is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Marino, on the northside of Dublin, Ireland. The club was founded in 1931 in Marino, although its club grounds were in Raheny for a number of years, but it moved to its home back into Marino in 1987. St Vincents merged with Marino Camogie Club in 1997 to form the St Vincents Hurling, Football and Camogie Club. They have won the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship on three occasions, most recently in 2014. They are the most successful side in the Dublin Senior Football championship having won the title 29 times. The club has also won 12 Dublin Senior 1 camogie titles and completed a three in a row in 2015–2017.

David Henry is a Gaelic footballer who played his inter-county football for Dublin and plays his club football for Raheny. He was on the Dublin Leinster Senior Football Championship winning side in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Henry played at right half back on the Dublin senior football team. He came on as a substitute and was later sent off in the O'Byrne Cup final for Dublin against Laois at O'Connor Park in Offaly. The game finished on a scoreline of 1-18 to 2-13 against Laois. David was on Dublin's 2008 O'Byrne Cup winning team, which defeated Longford in the final. He also played senior hurling with Dublin. David has worked as an analyst for Irish language television station TG4. He also worked as a youth leader at Coláiste Árainn Mhóir in Donegal during his summer holidays during college, assisting in teaching Irish to teenagers.

Bernard Brogan is a Gaelic footballer from the St Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh club who plays inter-county with Dublin.He is originally from the Battery Heights. From a famous footballing family, he is the son of former All-Ireland winning and All Star player Bernard Brogan (senior) and is the brother of former Dublin players Alan and Paul. His uncle Jim was also an inter-county footballer for Dublin. Alongside most of his family, Brogan has attended St. Declan's College on the Navan Road.

Raheny GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Raheny, Dublin.

Thomas Davis is a Gaelic Athletic Association club with extensive grounds and a clubhouse located on the Kiltipper Road in Tallaght, County Dublin, Ireland. Founded in 1888, Thomas Davis has a long association with Tallaght from the time when it was a small rural village in the countryside. The club motto is Nascann Dúshlán Daoine .

Fingal Ravens is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Rolestown, County Dublin, Ireland. Fingal Ravens won the 2007 Dublin Intermediate Football Championship and are therefore in the Senior championship for 2008. The Senior team won the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship in 2007 and booked a place in the Leinster Intermediate Semi Final against Suncroft. The Senior team won the Lenister Intermediate Semi Final on Sunday 25 November 2007 against Suncroft of Kildare. They eventually went on to the final against neighbours and local rivals Donaghmore/Ashbourne. It proved an interesting game because the Fingal Ravens manager Mick Deegan was a resident of Ashbourne in County Meath. Ravens won the IFC title with a goal to spare in Parnell Park on Sunday 9 December 2007. Fingal then went on to the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship semi final against Ballinagh of Cavan. Ravens won the semi against Ballinagh by 0-11 to 0-08 to seal their place in the 2008 all-Ireland intermediate club final.

Ger Brennan is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for St Vincents and formerly played for Dublin.

Tomás Brady is a Gaelic footballer and hurling player for Na Fianna and Dublin.

Ross O'Carroll is a hurling and football player for Kilmacud Crokes and formerly of Dublin.

Barry O'Rorke or "baz" (born 3 March 1989) is an inter-county Gaelic footballer and hurler for Dublin. He plays his club hurling and football with Kilmacud Crokes and is a member of the senior panel in both codes. He received his secondary education at the Irish medium school Coláiste Eoin in County Dublin. In 2007 Barry received a sports scholarship to University College Dublin (UCD) for his contributions in both Gaelic Football and Hurling. Barry is a speaker of the Irish language and is noted for saying his Leinster championship speech in the language in June 2007. Barry is the brother of former Under-21 Dublin hurling player Shane O'Rorke "shaz" and Dublin minor hurling player Oisin O'Rorke.

The 1897 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 11th staging of Ireland's premier Gaelic football knock-out competition. Dublin were the winners.

The 1921 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 35th staging of Ireland's premier Gaelic football knock-out competition. Dublin were the winners.

Brian Maloney is a Gaelic football player for Mayo and St Vincents.

Paul Brogan is a Gaelic football player with the Dublin senior inter-county football team and St Oliver Plunketts Eoghan Ruadh. He made his senior inter-county debut as a substitute for Dublin in the 2008 O'Byrne Cup against Wicklow. He made his first start for Dublin against Westmeath in the quarter final of the O'Byrne Cup and scored a point in the game. He is the younger brother of current inter-county footballers Bernard Brogan and former senior football captain Alan Brogan. Paul won the Dublin AFL Division 1 title with his club St Oliver Plunketts Eoghan Ruadh. It was the first league title in the club's history. Pauls greatest achievement to date is being selected as junior captain of Corrstown golf club. There he led the junior club with distinction and was voted 5th best junior captain of all time in a recent poll by the club members.

The 2008 Dublin Senior Football Championship is the inter club Gaelic football competition between the top teams in Dublin GAA. The 2008 competition opened with group stages. The first round of the group stages began on May 8, 2008. Kilmacud Crokes finished as the 2008 champions and went on to qualify for the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship first round against Celbridge. Tomas Quinn finished the season as highest scorer with 5-34. Dublin Champions Kilmacud Crokes progressed from the Dublin championship to win both the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship and the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship.
