The 2008 African Volleyball Championship U21 was the 13th edition of the African Volleyball Championship U21. It was held in Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia from 23 August to 30 August 2010. The finalists will qualify for the 2009 Junior World Championship.

The 2010 African Volleyball Championship U21 was held in Misrata, Libya, from 2 to 9 October 2010. The finalists will qualify for the 2011 World Junior Championship.

The CAVB qualification for the 2010 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship saw member nations compete for three places at the finals in Italy.

The 2006 African Volleyball Championship U19 was the eighth edition of the African Volleyball Championship U19. It was held in Kelibia, Tunisia, from August 20 to August 22, 2006. The top two teams will qualify for the 2007 Youth World Championship.

The 2020 African Volleyball Championship U19 was held in Abuja, Nigeria from 4 to 8 March 2021. The top two teams of the tournament qualified for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship.

The 2021 Men's African Nations Volleyball Championship was the 23rd edition of the Men's African Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) with Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB). The tournament was held in Kigali, Rwanda from 7 to 14 September 2021. The top two teams of the tournament qualified for the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship as the CAVB representatives.
