2008 Desafio Internacional das Estrelas was the fourth edition of Desafio Internacional das Estrelas (International Challenge of the Stars) held on 2 December 2008. The event consisted of warmup, qualifying and race sessions with the overall winner determined by the aggregate points score from the two races. The ten fastest qualifiers took part in the top ten shootout for the pole which was won by Lucas di Grassi. The qualifying rounds set the grid for the first race which was won by Rubens Barrichello. The starting grid of the second race was determined by the results of the first race although the top eight of the first race were reversed. The second race also provided less points than the first. It was won by Felipe Massa. Overall winner of the event was Rubens Barrichello as he scored the most points ahead of Lucas di Grassi and Felipe Massa.
The Desafio Internacional das Estrelas is an annual charity kart race organised by Felipe Massa since 2005. The first edition was held on Kartódromo Toca da Coruja on Bauru. For 2006 at 2008 the challenge was moved to Kartódromo dos Ingleses on Florianópolis and since 2009 at Arena Sapiens Park, also at Florianópolis.
Lucas Tucci di Grassi is a Brazilian racing driver who competes in the all-electric FIA Formula E Championship for Audi Sport ABT Schaffler and is the CEO of Roborace. In his career, he has won multiple races in single-seaters and sports cars. Di Grassi's most prolific success was when he won the 2016–17 Formula E Drivers' Championship.
Rubens "Rubinho" Gonçalves Barrichello, is a Brazilian racing driver who competed in Formula One between 1993 and 2011, scoring 11 Grand Prix wins and 68 podiums.

Michael Schumacher is a retired German racing driver who raced in Formula One for Jordan Grand Prix, Benetton and Ferrari, where he spent most of his career, as well as for Mercedes upon his return to the sport. Widely regarded as one of the greatest Formula One drivers ever, and regarded by some as the greatest of all time, Schumacher is the only driver in history to win seven Formula One World Championships, five of which he won consecutively. The most successful driver in the history of the sport, Schumacher holds the records for the most World Championship titles (7), the most Grand Prix wins (91), the most fastest laps (77) and the most races won in a single season (13), and according to the official Formula One website (Formula1.com), Schumacher was "statistically the greatest driver the sport has ever seen" at the time of his retirement from the sport.

Felipe Massa is a Brazilian Formula E and former Formula 1 racing driver. Massa started his career in go-karting from the age of eight continuing in national and regional championships for seven years. He moved into Formula Chevrolet and claimed the championship. He moved in Italian Formula Renault in 2000 and won the title along with the European championship. Massa went into Euro Formula 3000 taking the championship in 2001.

The 2004 Spanish Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on 9 May 2004 at the Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. It was the fifth round of the 2004 Formula One season. The 66-lap race was won by Michael Schumacher for the Ferrari team. His teammate Rubens Barrichello finished second with Jarno Trulli third in a Renault car.
The 2006 Turkish Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race, held on 27 August 2006. The 58-lap race, which was the fourteenth round of the 2006 Formula One season, and the second Turkish Grand Prix, was held at Istanbul Park in Istanbul, Turkey. It marked the first race victory, and also the first pole position, for Felipe Massa, who drove for the Ferrari team. Fernando Alonso, who drove for Renault finished the race in second position and Massa's teammate Michael Schumacher occupied the final position on the podium. The race was also the first Grand Prix meeting for future quadruple world champion Sebastian Vettel, who was assigned a Friday test driver role for the BMW Sauber team. Vettel also got a $1,000 fine for speeding in the pit-lane only 6 seconds later after he got out onto the track.
The 2008 Hungarian Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on 3 August 2008, at the Hungaroring in Mogyoród, near Budapest, Hungary. It was the 11th race of the 2008 Formula One season. Contested over 70 laps, the race was won by Heikki Kovalainen for the McLaren team, from a second position start. Timo Glock finished second in a Toyota car, with Kimi Räikkönen third in a Ferrari. It was Kovalainen's first Formula One victory, which made him the sport's 100th driver to win a World Championship race, and it was Glock's first podium finish. It also turned out to be the only F1 race Kovalainen ever won.

2013 Desafio Internacional das Estrelas was the eighth edition of Desafio Internacional das Estrelas, the races scheduled for 12–13 January 2013 at Kartódromo do Beto Carrero World at Penha, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The event was won by Jules Bianchi after he won the race 1 and finished in fourth position in race 2.
The 2019 Mexico City ePrix was a Formula E electric car race held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in the centre of Mexico City on 16 February 2019. It was the fourth round of the 2018–19 Formula E season and the fourth edition of the event as part of the championship. The 45-lap race was won by Audi driver Lucas di Grassi after starting from second position. António Félix da Costa finished second for Andretti and Edoardo Mortara came in third for Venturi.
