The 2008 Miami Valley Silverbacks season was the third season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. In 2008, the team saw the only coach it had even known, removed himself from the position and become the team's president. His first move was to hire Carl Allen as his successor. [1] The team finished 3-9 and had their third season in a row of declining win totals.

The Atlanta Silverbacks FC were an American professional soccer club based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1998 as Atlanta Ruckus, the club played in many leagues over the years before folding after the 2015 season. Aaron Paye is an American-Liberian footballer (striker). Paye attended Fairleigh Dickinson where he was a third team All American. Paye was with the Minnesota Thunder of the USL from 2004 to August 8, 2008. Paye lost his spot on the team in the off-season of 2007, but was rostered back onto the team a month into the season after working hard and impressing the coaching staff. On August 8, 2008, the Minnesota Thunder announced a trade with the Atlanta Silverbacks, sending Nathan Knox back to the Minnesota Thunder, a team he had played for previously, and Paye going to the Sliverbacks in an even swap, as both are forwards. Currently, he is the assistant coach at Blake High School, and coaches the Minneapolis United U16 Premier team.

Atlanta Silverbacks Park is a soccer complex in unincorporated DeKalb County, just outside Atlanta, United States. It was formerly the home venue of the Atlanta Silverbacks club. It is also the home of the Atlanta Rhinos of USA Rugby League, Atlanta Renegades Rugby Club, as well as Rugby ATL of Major League Rugby. The park includes a 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium, which opened in 2006 and is designed for future expansion.

2012 Dayton Silverbacks season

The 2012 Dayton Silverbacks season is the seventh season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise.

The 2009 Miami Valley Silverbacks season was the fourth season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. The Silverbacks planned on sitting out the 2009 CIFL season, but due to the West Virginia Wild getting suspended from the league, the CIFL offered for the Silverbacks to take the place of the Wild. They had been scheduled to play a 12-game season, primarily as a traveling team, only playing two home games at Hobart Arena, but two of their road games were cancelled. The team hired Derrick Shepard, a former NFL and Arena Football League defensive tackle, to coach the team. On April 14, the Silverbacks announced that a majority of their remaining 2009 season games were to be broadcast live online for free on MCP-TV at www.miamicountypost.com. Professional sports announcer JT Szabo provided the play-by-play. The team finished with a franchise-worst record of 0–10, failing to make the playoffs for the third straight season.

Dayton Silverbacks

The Dayton Silverbacks were a professional indoor football team based in Dayton, Ohio. The team was a member of the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL). The franchise started as the Miami Valley Silverbacks and joined the CIFL in 2007 after playing their inaugural season as an expansion team in the American Indoor Football Association. The Silverbacks were the fourth indoor football team to be based in Dayton, the first being the Dayton Skyhawks of the original Indoor Football League. The Skyhawks were followed by the Dayton Warbirds, who later became the Dayton Bulldogs, of the National Indoor Football League and the third being the Cincinnati Marshals who played their 2007 season in Dayton. The Owner of the Silverbacks was Various people through the years with the final owner being Corwyn Thomas of Cincinnati. The Silverbacks played their home games at Hara Arena in nearby Trotwood, Ohio.

The 2013 season will be the Atlanta Silverbacks's seventeenth season of existence, and their third consecutive season playing in the North American Soccer League, the second division of the American soccer pyramid.

The 2014 season was the Atlanta Silverbacks' 18th season of existence, and their 4th consecutive season playing in the North American Soccer League, the second division of the American soccer pyramid.
