In 2011, the Breakers won their first NBL Championship and successfully defended it in 2012 and 2013, claiming the second three-peat in NBL history. They won their fourth title in 2015.

Oscar Forman is an Australian professional basketball player. He played 17 seasons in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL) between 2001 and 2018.

The Illawarra Hawks is an Australian professional basketball team based in Wollongong, New South Wales. The Illawarra Hawks compete in the National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at WIN Entertainment Centre, known colloquially as "The Sandpit". The Illawarra Hawks are the only remaining NBL team to have competed in every season since the league's inception in 1979. The team won their first and so far only NBL Championship in 2001 and finished as runners-up in 2005, 2010 and 2017.

Leslie Galen Young was an American professional basketball player. He played two years of Division I college basketball for the Charlotte 49ers, where he earned first-team All-Conference USA honors in 1999. He played professionally in the United States and abroad for 13 years, winning a Continental Basketball Association championship in 2007 with the Yakima Sun Kings and an Australian National Basketball League championship in 2010 with the Perth Wildcats.

The 2009–10 NBL season was the 32nd season of competition since its establishment in 1979. A total of eight teams contested the league. The 48-minute game switched to a 40-minute game.

The 2010–11 NBL season was the 33rd season of competition since its establishment in 1979. A total of nine teams contested the league. The regular season was played between October 2010 and April 2011, followed by a post-season involving the top four. On 23 February 2010, it was announced that the Sydney Kings would return in 2010–11. The schedule was announced on 27 May 2010.

Gary Ervin is an American professional basketball player who last played for Chorale Roanne Basket of the French LNB Pro B. He played college basketball for Mississippi State University and the University of Arkansas. Ervin was the NBL's Most Valuable Player for the 2010–11 NBL season while playing for the Wollongong Hawks.

Kevin John Lisch is an American basketball coach and former player who most recently served as an assistant coach for the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League (NBL). He also holds an Italian passport and is an Australian citizen.

The 2012 National Basketball League All-Star Game was held at the 8,000 seat Adelaide Arena in Adelaide, South Australia on 22 December 2012. The game was won by the South All-Stars, 134 points to the North All-Stars 114. Melbourne Tigers shooting guard Chris Goulding electrified the 4,523 in attendance, scoring 24 points, grabbing 5 rebounds and handing out 4 assists on his way to winning the game's MVP award. The game was broadcast on Network Ten in Australia and it was the first NBL All-Star Game since 2007–08.

Todd Blanchfield is an Australian professional basketball player for the Gold Coast Rollers of the NBL1 North. He began his National Basketball League (NBL) career in 2009 with the Townsville Crocodiles, where he played six seasons. Between 2015 and 2020, he played for Melbourne United (2015–17), Sydney Kings (2017–18) and Illawarra Hawks (2018–20). In 2017, he won a gold medal with Australia at the FIBA Asia Cup.

Mitchell Robert Norton is an Australian professional basketball player for the Brisbane Bullets of the National Basketball League (NBL). He began his career in 2011 with the Townsville Crocodiles before joining the Illawarra Hawks in 2016 following the collapse of his hometown team. After two seasons with the Hawks, he joined the Perth Wildcats in 2018 where he won two consecutive championships. He has also played for the Townsville Heat in the Queensland Basketball League and the Southland Sharks in the New Zealand NBL.

The 2015–16 NBL season is the 38th season for the Illawarra Hawks in the NBL. Following two seasons without making the playoffs, the Hawks enlisted the services of championship winning coach Rob Beveridge in an attempt to win the championship.

Tim Coenraad is an Australian former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Nova Southeastern Sharks before playing 14 seasons in the National Basketball League (NBL) with the Illawarra Hawks. He helped the Hawks reach grand finals in 2010 and 2017 and won Club MVP in 2015.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">McKenzie Moore</span> American basketball player

McKenzie Zachary Moore is an American professional basketball player who last played for the TNT Tropang Giga of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Moore earned a name for himself in New Zealand between 2015 and 2017. With the Canterbury Rams in 2016, he helped the team win the minor premiership while earning NBL MVP honors. Moore has also played in Belgium, Greece, Russia, Turkey, Poland and Israel.

Jim Slacke is an American former professional basketball player who played seven seasons in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL) for the Illawarra Hawks.
