FitzGerald Tennis Center in Washington, D.C. in the United States from July 30 through August 7, 2011. Unseeded Radek Štěpánek won the singles title.

The men’s qualifying singles event began on 23 August in New York and was completed over four days through to and including the 26 August.

Roger Federer defeated John Isner in the final, 7–6(9–7), 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2012 Indian Wells Masters. It was his record fourth Indian Wells title.
