The 2012 Men's World Floorball Championships were the ninth men's Floorball World Championships. The tournament took place in Bern and Zurich, Switzerland in December 2012.

Qualification

There are five qualification groups for 11 places in the final tournament:

Five best teams of 2010 World Championships automatically qualified for the competition:

Format

The teams will be drawn into four groups of four. Two best-placed teams of each group will move into quarter-finals. The winners of the Quarter-finals continue to the Semi-finals. The losers of the Semi-finals will play two games and the winners of these games will play for 5th and 6th place and for the losers of these two matches the tournament is over. The 7th team will be the team losing to the team which achieves the 5th place on the tournament. Third and fourth placed teams in the group stage will play for places 9–12 and 13–16 respectively. Home team Sweden defended their title in a close game against Finland. Czech Republic earned the bronze after defeating Switzerland by 4–3.

The 2001 Women's World Floorball Championships was the third world championship in women's floorball. The games were played in Riga, Latvia 20–27 May 2001. Finland ended up as champions, thus they became the first team to win their second title. In the final-game Finland defeated Sweden, 2-0.

The 2003 Women's World Floorball Championships was the fourth world championship in women's floorball. The games were played in Bern, Gümligen and Wünnewil in Switzerland 17–24 May 2003. Sweden won the tournament, their second title defeating Switzerland, 8-1, in the final-game.

The Philippines men's national floorball team is the national floorball team of the Philippines and is organized by the Philippine Floorball Association.

The qualifying for the 2016 Men's World Floorball Championships took place between 2 and 14 February 2016. A total of 33 teams competed for fifteen spots. The final tournament was organized by Latvia in December 2016.

The 2019 IFF Women's World Floorball Championships was the 12th staging of the Women's World Floorball Championship, contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the International Floorball Federation (IFF), the sport's global governing body. The 2019 IFF Women's World Floorball Championships qualification is a series of tournaments to decide teams which will play in the 2019 Women's World Floorball Championships. The 2020 Men's World Floorball Championships was the 13th World Championships in men's floorball. The tournament took place in Helsinki, Finland, during 3–11 December 2021. The tournament was originally intended to be played between 4–12 December 2020, but on 7 December 2020, it was announced it would be rescheduled one year into the future because of to the Coronavirus pandemic.
