The 2012 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships is the World Championship for cyclo-cross. It took place in Koksijde, Belgium on the weekend of January 28 and 29, 2012. As in the previous years, four events were scheduled. The event was the biggest Cyclo-cross World Championship yet, in terms of attendance. About 61000 people headed down to Koksijde on Sunday for the main event. [1]

Koksijde is a town and a municipality in Belgium. It is located on the North Sea coast in the southwest of the Flemish province of West Flanders.
Sven Nys is a former professional cyclist competing in cyclo-cross and mountain bike. With two world championships, seven world cups, and over 140 competitive victories, he is considered one of the best cyclo-cross racers of his generation, and remains a prominent figure in cyclo-cross. Apart from cyclo-cross, Nys is also fivefold national mountainbike champion, and has competed in that discipline in two Olympic games.
Katie Compton is an American former bicycle racer. She specialized in cyclo-cross racing and is a 15-time national champion. Compton formerly piloted a tandem with a blind partner in Paralympic events.
Richard Marinus Anthonius Groenendaal is a Dutch former professional cyclo-cross cyclist. Groenendaal won the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in 2000 and the overall titles in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup 1997–1998, 2000–2001 and 2003–2004 and in the Cyclo-cross Superprestige in 1997–1998 and 2000–2001.
The UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships are the world championships for cyclo-cross organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). Starting in 2020, six events are organized each year – men's elite, women's elite, men's under 23, women's under 23, men's under 18, and women's under 18. Traditionally, the elite events are held on a Sunday with the other events held on the Saturday the day before.

This event was held on Sunday 29 January 2012 as part of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Koksijde, Belgium. Five laps had to be completed, totalling up to 14.79 kilometre. It was won by Marianne Vos of Netherlands who was first and in control from start to finish. In the background Sanne Cant of Belgium, quite adapt in the sand, tried to get rid of Daphny Van Den Brand of Netherlands in the many sand patches, but never managed to. Van Den Brand eventually beat Cant in the sprint, taking home the silver.
The 2012–2013 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup events and season-long competition took place between 21 October 2012 and 20 January 2013, sponsored by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The events in Igorre and Liévin were dropped from the series, replaced by the return of Roubaix and the introduction of Rome.
The 2013 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships was the World Championship for cyclo-cross. It took place at Eva Bandman Park in Louisville, Kentucky, USA on Saturday, February 2, 2013. It was the first ever cyclo-cross world championship held outside of Europe. As in past years, four events were held. These world championships were mostly dominated by Belgium and Netherlands who, combined, won nine of the twelve possible medals and all of the gold medals.

She also won the bronze medal in the women's under-23 event at the 2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Heusden-Zolder. Kaptheijns took her first UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup race win when she took victory in Duinencross Koksijde in October 2017.

As a junior, he won the silver medal at the 2018 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships. He won the gold medal in the men's under-23 event at the 2020 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Dübendorf.
Pim Ronhaar is a Dutch cyclo-cross and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team Pauwels Sauzen–Bingoal. He won the gold medal in the men's under-23 event at the 2021 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Ostend.
