The 2014 Women's U23 African Volleyball Championship was the 1st edition of the Women's U23 African Volleyball Championship, it was held 7 to 9 September 2014 in Algiers, Algeria. It was the inaugural edition of the tournament. The tournament was organized by the African Volleyball Confederation, in association with Algerian Volleyball Federation. [1] [2]

Contents

The tournament served as the African qualifiers for the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's U23 World Championship held in Ankara, Turkey which the winner team qualified for the world championship. Egypt won the tournament. [3]

The 2013 African Junior Athletics Championships was the eleventh edition of the biennial, continental athletics tournament for African athletes aged 19 years or younger. It was held at the Germain Comarmond Stadium in Bambous, Mauritius from 29 August – 1 September. A total of 223 athletes from 29 nations competed. Neither pole vault event was held, due to a lack of entries, and the decathlon and heptathlon competitions were also not contested.

Doha Hany Mostafa is an Egyptian badminton player. She started playing badminton at aged five, and joined the national team in 2013. She won the bronze medal at the 2014 African Youth Games, and represented her country at the Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. She was the women's doubles gold medalist at the 2019 African Games. Hany featured in Egypt team that for the first time won the All Africa Women's Team Championships in 2020, also claimed two title in the individual competition by winning the women's and mixed doubles event.
