The 2015 Cal Poly Mustangs men's soccer team represented the California Polytechnic State University during the 2015 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The Mustangs were led by head coach Steve Sampson, in his first season at the helm. They played all home games at Alex G. Spanos Stadium.

The Chicago Mustangs were an American professional soccer team based out of Chicago, Illinois, and were a charter member of the United Soccer Association (USA) in 1967. When the USA and rival National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) merged in 1968 to form the North American Soccer League (NASL), the team moved to the new league. The Mustangs played its home matches at Comiskey Park. The team folded at the conclusion of the 1968 NASL season.
DFW Tornados was an American soccer team based in Dallas, Texas, United States. Founded in 1986, the team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Mid South Division of the Southern Conference. The franchise folded at the end of the 2010 season and left the league thereafter.
F.C. Indiana, also known as F.C. Indiana Lions, is an American men's soccer team based in Lafayette, Indiana. Founded in 2000, the team compete in the Premier Arena Soccer League indoor soccer league. The Lions also play in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), a national outdoor league at the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid.
Creekview High School is a public high school located in the city of Carrollton, Texas, United States. It is classified as a 5A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District located in southeast Denton County. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.
The SMU Mustangs are the athletic teams that represent Southern Methodist University in University Park, Texas, United States. SMU was founded in 1911 and joined the Southwest Conference, competing against Baylor, Rice, Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Oklahoma A&M. They have been a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) since 2024.

The Cal Poly Mustangs men's soccer program represents the Cal Poly Mustangs of California Polytechnic State University in men's soccer at the NCAA Division I level. Like most teams from Cal Poly, they play in the Big West Conference. Since becoming eligible in the mid-1990s, Cal Poly has appeared in 3 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournaments, most recently in 2015.

The Mustangs made their most recent appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2024. In 2024 the Mustangs reached their fourteenth Elite Eight before falling to No.13 Seed Marshall 3–2.
The UAB Blazers men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. As of the upcoming 2022 season, the college soccer program competes in the NCAA Division I American Athletic Conference.

The 2013 Conference USA men's soccer season was the 19th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference. The season marked the arrival of the Charlotte 49ers from the Atlantic 10 Conference, the Florida Atlantic Owls from the Mid-American Conference, the New Mexico Lobos from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, and the Old Dominion Monarchs from the Colonial Athletic Association. It was also the last C-USA season for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, which joined join the American Athletic Conference in July 2014. The 2013 Conference USA Men's Soccer Tournament was held November 13–17 at Transamerica Field in Charlotte.
The Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer tournament is the conference championship tournament in soccer for the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). The tournament has been held every year since the MVC began men's soccer competition in 1991. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season conference records. The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I men's soccer championship.
The Blue–Green Rivalry is the name of the rivalry between athletic teams from the University of California, Santa Barbara (Gauchos) and California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Mustangs). Athletic competition between the two schools began in the 1921 on the football field.
Steve Cisneros Palacios is an American retired soccer player who played as a midfielder. A native of San Clemente, California, he played on the varsity team at San Clemente High School. As a senior, Palacios helped the Tritons to the first CIF Southern Section championship in team history and was named the All-Orange County Player of the Year by the Orange County Register. He played college soccer at Cal Poly, appearing in 66 games over four years with the Mustangs.

The 2019 season was Kevin Hudson's fifth year as head coach for the program.
