The 2015 Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game took place on June 13, 2015 at BBVA Compass Stadium, the home of MLS club Houston Dynamo and NWSL club Houston Dash. The 2015 MLL All-Star Game was the first professional lacrosse game ever played in Texas. The game was televised live on CBS Sports Network in the United States. [1]

The two squads play a series of games with the series winner taking home El Capitán, a replica 18th century mountain howitzer cannon. Through the 2020 season, Dallas leads the series, 8–7. This is the first time Dallas has led the all-time series.

Fairfield Stags mens lacrosse

The Fairfield Stags men's lacrosse team represents Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut and competes in the Colonial Athletic Association of NCAA Division I. The Stags have won eight regular season conference titles since 1996 and competed in the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Tournament in 2002 and 2005. The Stags play their home games at the new lacrosse-only Rafferty Stadium.

Houston Baptist Huskies football

The Houston Baptist Huskies football program is the intercollegiate American football team for Houston Baptist University located in Houston, Texas, United States. The team currently competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) as a full member of the Southland Conference. Houston Baptist's first football team was fielded in 2013 for a seven game developmental season. The Huskies finished 2013 with a 3-4 record. Since the 2013 games were played during a developmental season, records and statistics are considered unofficial. The team played most of its home games at Crusader Stadium in Houston, Texas that season with one home game being played at BBVA Compass Stadium.

The 2014 season was the Houston Dash's inaugural season as a professional women's soccer team. As the first expansion team to the National Women's Soccer League, United States' top-flight women's league, the Dash played a 24-game schedule that saw them compete against the eight other NWSL teams, playing each at home and away at least once. The Dash finished the season in last place and ended the season with 5 wins, 3 draws, and 16 losses and a -21 goal differential. The season for the Dash began on April 12, 2014, and concluded August 20, 2014 after the team failed to qualify for the playoffs.

The 2016 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship was the 4th edition of the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament, the quadrennial international football tournament organised by CONCACAF to determine which women's national teams from the North, Central American and Caribbean region qualify for the Olympic football tournament. CONCACAF announced on 12 August 2015 that the United States would host the tournament between 10–21 February 2016 in Houston and Frisco, Texas. A total of eight teams played in the tournament.

The Houston Roughnecks are a professional American football team based in Houston, Texas. The team is an owned-and-operated member of the new XFL founded by Vince McMahon's Alpha Entertainment and plays its home games at TDECU Stadium.
