The 2015 ISF Men's World Championship was an international softball tournament held in Saskatoon, Canada from 26 June-5 July 2015. [1] It was the 14th time the World Championship took place and the third time Saskatoon hosted the tournament.

Indonesia withdrew from the tournament on June 19 and was not replaced. [9]
The ISF appointed 16 umpires from 11 national countries to facilitate matches of the tournament. Bob Stanton from Canada is named Umpire in Chief, and Wayne Saunders and Jeff Whippl, from New Zealand and Canada respectively, were named assistant Umpire in Chiefs. [10]

The Women's Softball World Cup is a fastpitch softball tournament for women's national teams held historically every four years, now every two years, by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). The tournament, originally known as the ISF Women's World Championship, was sanctioned by the International Softball Federation (ISF) until that body's 2013 merger with the International Baseball Federation to create the WBSC. The number of teams in the tournament began at five in its inaugural event in 1965, went to a high of 28 for the 1994 edition, and now the WBSC Code legislates that the maximum number of teams that may participate is 16. There are qualifying tournaments that determine which countries will play at the World Cup.
The 2002 ISF Women's World Championship for softball was held July 26-August 4, 2002 in Saskatoon, Canada. The United States, which went undefeated for the tournament, won a fifth straight world championship with a 1-0 victory over Japan. The first four teams qualified for the 2004 Olympics.
The New Zealand men's national softball team is the national softball team for New Zealand. They have won the ISF Men's World Championship seven times, becoming World Champions in 1976, 1984, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2013 and 2017. They also won the inaugural Commonwealth Championships in 2006. The 2014 Asian Men's Softball Championship was an international softball tournament which featured six nations which was held from 16 to 20 December 2014. The games were held at the Kallang Softball Diamond Stadium in Singapore. The top three teams qualified for the 2015 ISF Men's World Championship which was held in Saskatoon, Canada. Japan became champions of the tournament winning their sixth consecutive title.
