2015 World Taekwondo Championships – Women's featherweight

The women's featherweight is a competition featured at the 2015 World Taekwondo Championships, and was held at the Traktor Ice Arena in Chelyabinsk, Russia on May 17 and May 18. Featherweights were limited to a maximum of 57 kilograms in body mass.

Yuriorkis Gamboa Toledano is a Cuban professional boxer. He is a former unified featherweight world champion, having held the WBA and IBF titles between 2009 and 2011, as well as the WBA interim championship in both the super featherweight and lightweight divisions. As an amateur he won a gold medal in the flyweight division at the 2004 Olympics, and bronze in the featherweight division at the 2005 World Championships.

Super featherweight, also known as junior lightweight, is a weight division in professional boxing, contested between 126 pounds (57 kg) and 130 pounds (59 kg).

Hiroyuki Takaya is a Japanese mixed martial artist currently competing in the Featherweight division. A professional competitor since 2003, Takaya has fought in the WEC, Strikeforce, DREAM, Shooto, K-1 HERO'S, Pancrase, RIZIN, Vale Tudo Japan, and Cage Force. The Ultimate Fighter: Undefeated is an installment of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)-produced reality television series The Ultimate Fighter. Tryouts were announced on November 16, scheduled for 26 days later. This season will feature undefeated featherweights and lightweights. The coaches for this season were announced on January 26, pitting current UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic against current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier. The cast was officially announced on the same day.
