The 2015–16 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge was a List A cricket competition that took place in South Africa from 11 October 2015 to 9 April 2016. [1] The competition was played between the thirteen South African provincial teams and Namibia.

List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket. List A cricket includes One Day International (ODI) matches and various domestic competitions in which the number of overs in an innings per team ranges from forty to sixty, as well as some international matches involving nations who have not achieved official ODI status. Together with first-class and Twenty20 cricket, List A is one of the three major forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Namibia national cricket team national sports team

The Namibia national cricket team is the team that represents the Republic of Namibia and is governed by Cricket Namibia, an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1992, and became part of the High Performance Program in 2007. They took part in the 2003 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, though they lost all their games. They have played in each edition of the ICC Intercontinental Cup.

North West finished top of Pool A and Gauteng finished top of Pool B, with both teams progressing to the final of the competition. The final was played at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. Gauteng won the match, beating North West by 7 wickets.

Senwes Cricket Stadium is a Cricket ground in Potchefstroom, North West Province, South Africa. It has hosted two Test matches, with the first in 2002. The Highveld Lions also play some home matches here. It is also home to AFL South Africa, the Australian rules football body responsible for developing the game in that country and the stadium is home to the South African national Australian rules football team, the Lions. On 29 October 2017, the venue hosted its first T20I match for South Africa against Bangladesh which was the 100th T20I for South Africa.

Potchefstroom Place in North West, South Africa

Potchefstroom is an academic city in the North West Province of South Africa. It hosts the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University. Potchefstroom is on the Mooi Rivier, roughly 120 km (75 mi) west-southwest of Johannesburg and 45 km (28 mi) east-northeast of Klerksdorp. Potchefstroom, together with Rustenburg, is the second-largest city in the North West Province. The largest city, Klerksdorp, is about 45 kilometres (28 mi) away.

Sunfoil Series

The Sunfoil Series is the main domestic first class cricket competition in South Africa, first contested in 1889-90. From 1990-91 it became known as the Castle Cup, from 1996-97 as the Supersport Series and from 2012-13 by The Sunfoil series. The Highveld Lions have won the title the most times.

The CSA Provincial Competitions are three South African domestic cricket competitions run by Cricket South Africa (CSA). Three-day (first-class) and one-day (list-A) competitions were introduced for the 2004–05 season, while a Twenty20 competition was introduced for the 2011–12 season.

However, in October 2017, Cricket South Africa initially postponed the tournament until November 2018, with it being cancelled soon after.

Farhaan Sayanvala is a South African cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut for Gauteng against Eastern Province in the 2016 Africa T20 Cup on 23 September 2016. Prior to his T20 debut he was named in South Africa's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

The 2018–19 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup is a first-class cricket competition that is currently taking place in South Africa from 4 October 2018 to 14 April 2019. This is the first edition not to be sponsored by Sunfoil, after they decided not to renew their sponsorship.

Joshua Richards is a South African cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Gauteng in the 2018–19 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup on 4 October 2018, scoring a century in the first innings. He made his List A debut for Gauteng in the 2018–19 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 7 October 2018.
