Kart racing or karting is a variant of motorsport road racing with open-wheel, four-wheeled vehicles known as go-karts or shifter karts. They are usually raced on scaled-down circuits, although some professional kart races are also held on full-size motorsport circuits. Karting is commonly perceived as the stepping stone to the higher ranks of motorsports, with former and current Formula One champions such as Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Ayrton Senna, Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso having begun their careers in karting.
Motocross is a form of off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. The sport evolved from motorcycle trials competitions held in the United Kingdom.
Wayne Wesley Rainey is an American former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, he won the 500cc World Championship three times and the Daytona 200 once. The AMA Supercross Championship is an American motorcycle racing series. Founded by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) in 1974, the AMA Supercross Championship races are held from January through early May. Supercross is a variant of motocross which involves off-road motorcycles on a constructed dirt track consisting of steep jumps and obstacles; the tracks are usually constructed inside a sports stadium. The easy accessibility and comfort of these stadium venues helped supercross surpass off-road motocross as a spectator attraction in the United States by the late 1970s.

Superkart is a form of motorsport road racing in which the class is a racing vehicle sized like a go-kart but with several characteristics more strongly associated with open-wheel racing cars.
The Karting World Championship is a kart racing competition organised by the CIK-FIA. It is held annually since 1964, and is karting's flagship event. The FIA created the CIK in 1962.
Eddie Lawson is an American former four-time Grand Prix motorcycle racing World Champion. His record of not crashing and consistently finishing in the points earned him the nickname "Steady Eddie".
Chad Mark Reed AM is an Australian motocross and supercross racer. He is a multi-time supercross and motocross champion and the record holder for most main event starts in AMA Supercross history, with 265 starts as of 21 June 2020, with his career spanning almost 20 years. He was taught from a young age as being capable of competing at the sports most elite level. He has proven to be the most consistent supercross/motocross racer in the 2000–2009 decade, and has grown to be one of the sports most loved individuals, due to his years of experience and dedication to his sport. He has since ascended the international ranks of the sport to become Australia's most successful motocross racer.
The 2006 Australian motorcycle Grand Prix was the fourteenth race of the 2006 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 15–17 September 2006 at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.
The 2007 Australian Superkart Championship was the 19th running of the national championships for Superkarts. It began on 6 May 2007 at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and ended on 15 July at Eastern Creek Raceway after eight races.

Megelli Motorcycles was a British motorcycle manufacturer, which made its debut at the Milan EICMA exhibition in November 2007. Megelli motorcycles was founded by the Managing Director of Sports and Leisure Direct UK Ltd, Barry Hall, who previously specialised in off-road Aeon all-terrain vehicles, mini bikes and pit bikes. The Megelli range is currently sold in 37 countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North America and South America.

The Australian Superkart Championship is a motor racing series run in Australia under the auspices of CAMS under their Superkart regulations. The karts race on full-size Australian circuits and in 2013 the series was raced at Sydney Motorsport Park and Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. As of 2007 the series has raced as part of the Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships. The series is one of nine that enjoy full CAMS Australian Championship status.
The 2009 Australian Superkart season covers national level Superkart racing in Australia during 2009. There were three national level race meetings in 2009 all held on the calendar of the Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships, the first two covered the Australian Superkart Championship, which was won by Sam Zavaglia. The third event, the stand-alone Pacific Superkart Challenge, was won by Warren McIlveen.
PVP Karting is a Danish company which designs and constructs Superkart racing karts and engines, based in Slangerup, Frederikssund Municipality. The company was founded by Poul Vilhelm Petersen and has been building PVP Superkarts for over a decade. In addition to racin kart chassis, PVP also produces a 250cc two cylinder racing kart engine, a tandem cylinder design, similar to those built by Rotax, FPE and BRC. PVP karts have won national titles across Europe, Northern America and Australasia, with Damian Payart winning the European Championship in a FPE engined PVP kart in 2003 and 2004.
The 2010 Australian Superkart season covers national level Superkart racing in Australia during 2010. There were just two national level race meetings in 2010, both held on the calendar of the Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships, making up the 2010 Dunlop Australian Superkart Championship.
The British Superkart Championships are a clustered motor racing series run in the United Kingdom under the auspices of the British Superkart Association under Motor Sports Association regulations. The karts race on full-size British circuits such as Silverstone, Donington, Brands Hatch, Pembrey, Anglesey Circuit, Bishopscourt, Castle Combe, Darley Moor, Snetterton, Croft, Cadwell Park, Thruxton and Oulton Park with the running of the MSA British Superkart Grand Prix at Donington Park which includes the British round of the European Superkart Championship.
