The 2016 BeNe Ladies Tour was the third edition of the BeNe Ladies Tour, a women's cycling stage race in the Netherlands and Belgium. It was rated by the UCI as a category 2.2 race and was held between 15 and 17 July 2016. The race was won by Jolien D'Hoore. [1]

Jolien D'hoore is a Belgian former track and road cyclist, who rode professionally between 2007 and 2021 for the Topsport Vlaanderen–Ridley, Lotto–Belisol Ladies, Wiggle High5, Mitchelton–Scott and SD Worx teams. D'hoore is a 29-time national track champion as well as a four-time national road champion at all competition levels. She won the bronze medal in the omnium at the 2016 Olympics and during her career was one of the strongest sprinters in the women's peloton. Since retiring as a rider, D'hoore now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Women's Continental Team AG Insurance–Soudal–Quick-Step.

The 2015 Aviva Women's Tour was the second staging of The Women's Tour, a women's stage race held in the United Kingdom. It ran from 17 to 21 June 2015 and had a UCI rating of 2.1. As in 2014, the race consisted of 5 stages and ran through southern and eastern England. The defending champion, Marianne Vos, was unable to participate due to injury. The winner of the first stage, Lizzie Armitstead, was unable to participate further in the race after she crashed crossing the finishing line, sustaining a sprained wrist and heavy bruising. Lisa Brennauer assumed the race lead after Armitstead's withdrawal, and after briefly losing the lead to Christine Majerus on stage three, her stage win on the fourth stage allowed her to reassume the race lead which she held to the end of the race.

The 2016 Ladies Tour of Qatar was the 8th edition of the Ladies Tour of Qatar. It was organised by the Qatar Cycling Federation with technical and sports-related assistance from Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) under the regulations of the Union Cycliste Internationale. The first running of the women's event of the Three Days of Bruges–De Panne was held on 22 March 2018. It started in Bruges and finished in De Panne with two 15 km (9.3 mi) loops between De Panne and Koksijde, totaling 151.7 km (94.3 mi). It was the fourth leg of the 2018 UCI Women's World Tour. Belgian Jolien D'Hoore, who was unaware she was sprinting for victory, won the race in a sprint.

She rode for Parkhotel Valkenburg in the women's team time trial event at the 2018 UCI Road World Championships. She won the gold medal in road cycling at the 2019 European Games, beating her compatriot Marianne Vos in the sprint for the line. In May 2022, Wiebes won all three stages of the RideLondon Classique. In July 2022, she won the first stage of the Tour de France Femmes.

The second running of the women's event of the Three Days of Bruges–De Panne, also called Lotto Women Classic Bruges–De Panne, was held on 28 March 2019. The race started in Bruges and finished in De Panne with two 15 km (9.3 mi) loops between De Panne and Koksijde, totalling 134.4 km (83.5 mi). It was the fourth leg of the 2019 UCI Women's World Tour. Defending champion Jolien D'Hoore did not compete after breaking her collar bone in the Drentse 8.
