The 2016 Major League Ultimate season was the fourth and final season for the frisbee league. The eight teams were split into two regional conferences (East and West), with each team playing a 10-game schedule, including some cross-divisional matches. The top two teams in each conference advanced to the next round, where they competed against the other qualified team from their conference. The winners of these matches advanced to the final to compete for the MLU Championship. On July 16, Philadelphia Spinners won the final 14–11 against Portland Stags to become the 2016 MLU Champions.

Coaches of the Year

This award was given to the coach in each conference who surpassed their goals throughout the season. It was awarded to Danny Quarrell (Portland Stags) and Darryl Stanley (Philadelphia Spinners) who both took their teams to the final of the competition, losing only one conference match each. [13]

Evan Turner American basketball player

Evan Marcel Turner is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). American Ultimate Disc League Sports league

The American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) is a professional ultimate frisbee league in North America. The AUDL was founded by Josh Moore in 2010 and its inaugural season began in April 2012 with eight teams. Regular season games are played April through July. The playoffs consist of three rounds: divisional wild card round, division championships, and finally culminating in a final four style showcase known as AUDL Championship Weekend in August. The winner of each division's championship game advances to Championship Weekend, with semifinals on Saturday and the championship game played on Sunday.

Philadelphia Spinners

The Philadelphia Spinners were a professional ultimate team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were founded in 2012 by Katrel Kelly and David Fitzgerald as a team in the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL), but then moved to Major League Ultimate (MLU). They played in the MLU until the league was suspended in 2016. Their home stadium was Carey Stadium at Germantown Academy.

Kevin Pangos Canadian basketball player

Kevin Joseph Pangos is a Canadian professional basketball player for Zenit Saint Petersburg of the VTB United League and the EuroLeague. He spent his college basketball career playing for the Gonzaga Bulldogs of the West Coast Conference. He was named the 2015 WCC Player of the Year, as well as a third-team All-American by Sporting News. Pangos has also represented Canada on the international stage. He earned an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection in 2018.

Major League Ultimate

Major League Ultimate (MLU) was a North American semi-professional Ultimate league from 2013 to 2016. It was composed of eight member teams, seven in the United States and one in Canada. It was formed in 2012, and began its inaugural season in April, 2013. The season concluded with championship games for the Western and Eastern divisions and a cross-divisional championship game.

Portland Stags

The Portland Stags were an American semi-professional ultimate team based in Portland, Oregon. The Stags competed as part of Major League Ultimate (MLU) in the league's Western Conference until the league suspended operations in 2016. The team was one of the original eight teams that formed the MLU in 2013. The team saw the post-season three times and in 2016 saw its first appearance at the MLU Championship.

New York Empire (AUDL) ultimate team

The New York Empire is an ultimate team in the American Ultimate Disc League based in New York City. The team is in the East Division of the league, and won its first AUDL title in 2019. The Empire played its first season in 2013.

At the end of each regular season, the Atlantic 10 Conference names major award winners in baseball. It currently names a Coach, Pitcher, Player, and Rookie of the Year. The Coach of the Year, dating to 1988, is the oldest. Pitcher and Player were added in 1993, Rookie in 1994.

2015–16 Kentucky Wildcats mens basketball team 2015–16 season of University of Kentucky mens basketball team

The 2015–16 Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team represented the University of Kentucky in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team played its home games in Lexington, Kentucky for the 40th consecutive season at Rupp Arena, with a capacity of 23,500. The team was led by John Calipari, in his seventh season. They were a member of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 27–9, 13–5 in SEC play to win a share of the SEC regular season championship. They defeated Alabama, Georgia, and Texas A&M to be champions of the SEC Tournament. They received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where they defeated Stony Brook in the first round to advance to the second round where they lost to Indiana.

The 2016 Arena Football League season was the 29th season in the history of the Arena Football League. Prior to the start of the season, the league contracted to eight teams. The 16-game regular season then began on April 1, 2016 and ended on August 1, 2016. The league, however, kept its eight-team playoff format, which meant that every club qualified for the postseason.

The 2016–17 season was Mansfield Town's 120th season in their history and their fourth consecutive season in League Two.

Grethcel Soltones is a Filipina volleyball player. Currently, she is about to suit up for the Petro Gazz Angels in the upcoming season of the Premier Volleyball League.

Maine Mariners (ECHL)

The Maine Mariners are a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL that began play in the 2018–19 season. Based in Portland, Maine, the team plays their home games at Cross Insurance Arena. The team participate in the North Division of the Eastern Conference.

2018 Big Ten Conference football season Sports season

The 2018 Big Ten conference football season was the 123rd season of college football play for the Big Ten Conference and was part of the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season.
