2016 Summer League of Legends Champions Korea (2016 Summer LCK) is part of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), the top level of League of Legends play in Korea. Matches are played at the Seoul OGN e-Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul. [1]

Jin Air Green Wings

Jin Air Green Wings is a South Korean esports organization with teams competing in StarCraft II and League of Legends. Its parent organization is Korean Air-subsidiary Jin Air. The organization was formed in November 2011 as a StarCraft: Brood War team when three Proleague teams — Hwaesung Oz, WeMade FOX and MBCGame HERO — disbanded, and was simply known as the 8th Team until South Korean Jin Air became its title sponsor in July 2013. Jin Air Green Wings is currently one of eight Korean e-Sports Association-recognized teams participating in the Proleague.

Jang Gyeong-hwan (Korean: 장경환) better known as MaRin, is a retired League of Legends esports player who was previously the top laner for TopSports Gaming. MaRin won the 2015 League of Legends World Championship with SK Telecom T1 and was named the Most Valuable Player of the event. He also played on SK Telecom T1 S before the team was consolidated with SK Telecom T1 K.

Huni (gamer) South Korean professional League of Legends player

Heo Seung-hoon, better known as Huni, is a South Korean professional League of Legends player for Team SoloMid. He has also played for Fnatic, Immortals, Echo Fox, SK Telecom T1, Clutch Gaming, Dignitas and Evil Geniuses.

Ham Jang-sik, better known as Lustboy, is a South Korean League of Legends coach and retired professional player. After retiring from professional competition, Lustboy became a coach for Longzhu Gaming of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), before leaving to coach for LCS team Team SoloMid. He is currently a coach for 100 Thieves of the LCS.

Lee Chang-seok, better known by his in-game name GBM, is a South Korean retired professional League of Legends. He previously played for NRG Esports of the LCS, Team Vitality of the LEC, Jin Air Green Wings and CJ Entus of the LCK, and Galatasaray Esports of the Turkish Championship League (TCL).

Lee Da-yoon (Korean: 이다윤), better known as Spirit, is a Korean League of Legends player who is currently the jungler for the Afreeca Freecs in the LCK. Spirit has previously played for was Fnatic of the European League of Legends Championship Series. He has also played for MVP Blue, Samsung Galaxy Blue, and Team WE. Spirit joined fnatic on December 6, 2015 along with Noh “Gamsu” Yeong-jin.

2018 Mid-Season Invitational

The 2018 Mid-Season Invitational was the fourth edition of the Mid-Season Invitational, a Riot Games-organised tournament for League of Legends, the multiplayer online battle arena video game. The tournament is the culmination of the 2018 spring split, the first part of 8th season of the game competitive scene.

2018 <i>League of Legends</i> World Championship

The 2018 League of Legends World Championship was an esports tournament for the multiplayer online battle arena video game League of Legends. It was the eighth iteration of the League of Legends World Championship, an annual international tournament organized by the game's developer, Riot Games. It was held from October 1 to November 3, 2018, in cities across South Korea. Twenty four teams qualified for the tournament based on their placement in regional circuits such as those in China, South Korea, Europe, and North America, with twelve of those teams having to reach the group stage via a play-in round. The tournament became known for its very surprising results, numerous upsets, and has often been considered the most unpredictable worlds in League of Legends' history. The tournament also became the most watched esports event in history, reaching a peak of over 200 million concurrent viewers during the finals. It surpassed the viewership of the 2017 League of Legends World Championship, as well as the peak viewership of numerous worldwide sporting events including the Super Bowl.

Gwak Bo-seong, better known as Bdd, is a South Korean professional League of Legends player for Nongshim RedForce. He is a two-time LCK regular season MVP, receiving the title in the 2017 summer and 2018 spring splits.

The 2019 League of Legends Rift Rivals was the third Rift Rivals – a series of cross-regional League of Legends tournaments organised by Riot Games. The tournament was held on 27–29 June 2019 in Los Angeles for the North America and Europe region, and 4–7 July 2019 in Seoul for China, South Korea, Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau and Vietnam region. The Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau region and Vietnam region sent their top two teams for Spring season to Rift Rivals 2019 respectively.

Kim Hyuk-kyu, better known as Deft, is a South Korean professional League of Legends player for DRX. In 2018, he was selected as one of the torch relay runners for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, alongside his fellow kt Rolster teammates.

Griffin is a South Korean esports organization owned by esports entertainment company STILL8. It has a team competing in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and previously had teams competing in League of Legends and Overwatch. Griffin's League of Legends team competed in the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), the top level of professional League of Legends in South Korea.

Effort (gamer)

Lee Sang-ho, better known as Effort, is a South Korean professional League of Legends player for Nongshim RedForce. He made his debut on KeSPA Cup 2017. He was an online trainee of SK Telecom T1 for 7 months before officially joining the team. Effort is well known for his exceptional play on Pyke.

DWG KIA

DWG KIA, commonly referred to as DAMWON KIA and formerly known as DAMWON Gaming, is a South Korean professional esports organization. Its League of Legends team competes in the LCK, the top-level league for the game in South Korea.

Nongshim RedForce South Korean League of Legends team

Nongshim RedForce is a South Korean professional League of Legends team owned by food and beverage company Nongshim. The team's name and logo are a reference to Nongshim's popular instant noodle brand Shin Ramyun.
