The 2016 Torneo Internazionale Femminile Antico Tiro a Volo was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the eighth edition of the tournament and part of the 2016 ITF Women's Circuit, offering a total of $50,000 in prize money. It took place in Rome, Italy, on 27 June–3 July 2016.

İpek Soylu was the defending champion, however due to the violent situation in Turkey caused by the 2016 Turkish coup d'état attempt, the tournament was abandoned in the semifinal stage.

Teliana Pereira was the defending champion, but lost in the first round to Lyudmyla Kichenok.

Kristýna Plíšková won the title, defeating defending champion Nao Hibino in the final, 6–3, 2–6, 6–3.

Agnieszka Radwańska was the defending champion, but withdrew before her quarterfinal match with a right thigh injury.

Liang Chen and Wang Yafan were the defending champions, but were eliminated in the round-robin competition.

Andreea Mitu and İpek Soylu were the defending champions, but chose not to compete together.
