The Women's keirin event of the 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Championships was held on 3 March 2016. [1] [2] Kristina Vogel of Germany won gold.
The 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Championships were the World Championships for track cycling in 2016. They took place in London in the Lee Valley VeloPark from 2–6 March 2016.
Kristina Vogel is a German former track cyclist. During her career, she won two gold medals and a bronze at the Olympic Games, and is a nine-time UCI World Champion. She was paralysed following a crash in June 2018.

After the four qualifying heats, the fastest rider in each heat advanced to the second round. The riders that had not advanced to the second round, raced in four repechage heats. The first two riders in each heat advanced to the second round along with the four that qualified before.
