The 2017 Liga 3 East Kalimantan season is the second edition of Liga 3 East Kalimantan as a qualifying round for the national round of 2017 Liga 3. Persikutim East Kutai are the defending champions.

Liga 3 (Indonesia)

Liga 3 is the lowest tier in Indonesian football league system. Liga 3 also the only amateur league in Indonesia. Formed as Liga Nusantara in 2014, this league occupies the third tier and consisted of 2 rounds: provincial qualification—held in every provinces in Indonesia, and national round, competed by provincial qualifiers.

2017 Liga 3

The 2017 Liga 3 Indonesia season was the 3rd season of lower-tier and the inaugural season of the third-tier competition in Indonesia with the new name Liga 3.

Persikutim stand for Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Kutai Timur. Persikutim East Kutai is an Indonesian football club based in East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan. Club played at Liga Nusantara. Persikutim East Kutai ever versus Mitra Kukar. In 2013, Persikutim then merged with Pro Duta.
