Port Football Club, formerly Singhtarua Football Club, is a Thai football club based at the 9,000 capacity PAT Stadium in Khlong Toei District of central Bangkok. They compete in Thai League 1 and are one of the most successful clubs in Thai football history, having won the Kor Royal Cup 8 times and the Queen's Cup 6 times. In 2009 Thai Port added the Thai FA Cup to their list of honours. The 2010 season Thai Port triumphant again as they won the newly introduced Thai League Cup.
Buriram United Football Club is a professional football club based in Buriram, Thailand. The club has played at the top level of Thai football for the majority of their existence and is competing in the Thai League 1. The club was founded in 1970 as PEA FC before reformed in to Buriram PEA then Buriram United in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Their home stadium is Chang Arena which has a capacity of 32,600.
The Thai League 1, often referred to as T1, is the top level of the Thai football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Thai League 2. Seasons run from February to October, with each team playing 30 games. It is sponsored by Toyota and therefore officially known as the Toyota Thai League. In the Thai League, most of the games are played during Saturdays and Sundays, with a few games played on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The 2008 Thai Premier League had 16 teams. It was the twelfth since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 18 February 2008, and the season ended on 11 October 2008. Three teams would be relegated to Thailand Division 1 League. The Champion in this season would qualify for the AFC Champions League 2009 qualification stage and the runner-up would be enter the AFC Cup 2009. The official name of the league at this time was Thailand Premier League.
Air Force United Football Club is a Thai professional football club based in Lam Luk Ka, Pathum Thani Province. Defunct after 2019 season, The club was renamed to Uthai Thani and relocated it to Uthai Thani Province. The team forms the football section of the Royal Thai Air Force until season 2019.

Attaphol Buspakom, nicknamed "Tak" ; 1 October 1962 – 16 April 2015) was a Thai national and football coach. He was given the role at Muangthong United and Buriram United after TTM Samut Sakhon folded after the 2009 season.
