The 2017 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 25th edition of the tournament, and played from 26 September to 16 October 2017 in Canada, Dominican Republic, and Trinidad and Tobago. The top two teams of each pools qualified for 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship [1]
The top six teams from NORCECA ranking qualified directly, except United States, the reigning World champion. Other six teams will qualify though the zonal qualification. [1]

24 teams competed in the 2002 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship, with two places allocated for the hosts, Germany and the titleholder, Cuba. In the qualification process for the 2002 FIVB World Championship, the Five FIVB confederations were allocated a share of the 22 remaining spots.

The 2014 Women's U23 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the second edition of the bi-annual women's volleyball tournament, played by eight countries from September 7–13, 2013 in Ica and Chincha Alta, Peru. At the end of the tournament, the top two teams from NORCECA and the best placed of the CSV qualified for 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's U23 World Championship, to be held in Ankara, Turkey. Colombia (CSV), Cuba and Dominican Republic (NORCECA) qualified for the World Championship.

The NORCECA Women's Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior women's national volleyball teams of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, organized by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA). Beach volleyball competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru were held between July 24 and 30 at the Estadio de Volley de Playa a temporary venue in the San Miguel cluster.

The 2020 Women's Volleyball North American Olympic Qualification Tournament will be a volleyball tournament for women's national teams to be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from 10 to 12 January 2020. 4 teams will play in the tournament, where the winner will qualify to the 2020 women's Olympic volleyball tournament.
