The Copa de la Reina de Baloncesto 2018 was the 56th edition of the Spanish Queen's Basketball Cup. It is managed by the Spanish Basketball Federation – FEB and was held between January 19 and 21, 2018.
The Copa de la Reina de Baloncesto is an annual cup competition for Spanish women's basketball teams. The first edition of the competition, originally named Women's Senior Basketball Championship, took place in 1943, which makes it the oldest Spanish women's basketball competition, but it was only since 1978, when it took its current name, that it has been carried every year. The 2012 cup marked the 50th edition of the competition.
The Spanish Basketball Federation is the governing body of basketball in Spain. It is based in Madrid.
Prior to the start of the season, the rules of the Spanish Basketball Federation established that the top six teams classified at the end of the first leg of the 2017–18 Liga Femenina, would play the Competition.
The 2017–18 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto, also known as Liga Dia for sponsorship reasons, is the 55th season of the Spanish basketball women's league. It started on 30 September 2017 with the first round of the regular season and ended in April 2018 with the final.
The two first qualified teams qualify directly for the semifinals.
