The Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer tournament is the conference championship tournament in soccer for the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). The tournament has been held every year since the MVC began men's soccer competition in 1991. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season conference records. The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I men's soccer championship.

The defending champions were the Illinois State Redbirds, but they were eliminated from the 2017 tournament with a 1–0 loss to the Northern Iowa Panthers in the opening round. The Missouri State Lady Bears won the tournament with a 1–0 win over Northern Iowa in the final. The conference tournament title was the second for the Missouri State women's soccer program, both of which have come under the direction of head coach Rob Brewer.
The 2018–19 Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team represented Loyola University Chicago during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Ramblers, led by seventh-year head coach Porter Moser, played their home games at the Joseph J. Gentile Arena in Chicago, Illinois. They were members of the Missouri Valley Conference. They finished the season 20–14, 12–6 in MVC play to earn a share of the MVC regular season championship. As the No. 1 seed in the MVC tournament, they beat Valparaiso before losing to Bradley in the semifinals. As a regular season conference champion who did not win their tournament championship, the Ramblers received an automatic bid to the National Invitation Tournament as the No. 7 seed in the TCU bracket. There they lost in the first round to Creighton.

They finished the season 17–16, 9–9 in conference play, to finish in a tie for the fifth place. As the number seven seed in the MVC tournament, they defeated Evansville in the opening round and were beaten by Drake in the quarterfinal round.

The championship was also the fourth in a row for the Loyola program. As tournament champions, Loyola earned the Missouri Valley's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The defending champions were the Loyola Ramblers, who did not defend their title as they moved to the A-10 Conference. The tournament champions were the Missouri State Bears who defeated Murray State 1–0 in the final. The conference tournament title was the third for the Missouri State women's soccer program, and first for head coach Kirk Nelson. The championship was the first since 2017 for Missouri State. As tournament champions, Missouri State earned the Missouri Valley's automatic berth into the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.
