The 2018/19 NTFL season was the 98th season of the Northern Territory Football League (NTFL). [1]
The first game was played on Friday, 5 October, and the Grand Final was played on Saturday, 16 March, with the Nightcliff Tigers defeating Southern Districts Crocs by 22 points to win its fourth premiership. This was the first time when the club won a premiership since 1964/65, breaking its 54-year drought. This was the longest premiership drought in NTFL history, second is Wanderers Eagles by 34 years from 1923/24 to 1957/58). [2]

The Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) is an Australian rules football semi-professional league operating in Darwin in the Northern Territory.
Michael "Magic" McLean is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Footscray Football Club, Brisbane Bears and Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL).
The St Marys Football Club, nicknamed, Saints, formed in 1952, is an Australian rules football club, affiliated to the Northern Territory Football League. It is famous for its record of success, with 32 NTFL premierships in 50 Grand Finals and 64 out of 67 possible final appearances. To the end of season 2019/20, St Marys have played 1254 games for 903 Wins 341 Losses and 10 Draws.
The Latrobe Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in the town of Latrobe in northern Tasmania. The club competed in the North West Football Union throughout the competition's entire existence from 1910 until 1986, and has competed in its successor, the North West Football League, since 1987. Latrobe was one of the most successful NWFU clubs, and its tally of 12 premierships is a joint record shared with Burnie and Ulverstone. Abbey Holmes is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She began playing football for the Waratah Football Club in the Northern Territory Football League in 2012 and won four consecutive premierships with the club, along with being the league's leading goalkicker the same four seasons. In 2014, she became the first woman to kick 100 goals in a season in an established football league, and in 2016 she was drafted in the inaugural AFL Women's draft by Adelaide.
