The 2019 Bauchi State House of Assembly election was held on March 9, 2019 to elect members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly in Nigeria. All 31 seats were up for election in the Bauchi State House of Assembly. [1]

Abubakar Suleiman from APC representing Ningi Central constituency was elected Speaker, while Danlami Kawule from PDP representing Zungur/Galambi/Miri constituency was elected Deputy Speaker. [2] [3]

Bello Muhammad, known as Bello Matawalle, is a Nigerian politician and teacher who has served as the Governor of Zamfara State since 2019. After briefly serving in the Abacha-era state house of assembly and serving as a state commissioner from 1999 to 2003 in the Ahmad Sani Yerima administration in the Fourth Republic, he first won a elected office in 2003 as a member of the House of Representatives for Bakura/Maradun and retained the office until 2015 first as a member of the All Nigeria Peoples Party before switching to the People's Democratic Party in 2011. Four years after losing his Bakura/Maradun Constituency seat in 2015, Matawalle became the 2019 PDP gubernatorial nominee and won the office after a Supreme Court ruling disqualified the original winner. In 2021, he defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress after a defection rally in Gusau alongside most Zamfara State elected officials.

The 2019 Nigerian gubernatorial elections were held for state governors in 31 out of 36 Nigerian states. All but three were held on 2 March 2019 with the election for Rivers State being postponed until 4 April, while the Kogi State and Bayelsa State elections were both held on 16 November. The 2023 Bauchi State gubernatorial election will take place on 11 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Bauchi State, concurrent with elections to the Bauchi State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. It will be held two weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent PDP Governor Bala Mohammed initially declined to run for re-election, instead running for president. However, after losing the PDP presidential primary in May 2022, Mohammed was renominated in a rerun primary.

The 2023 Gombe State gubernatorial election will take place on 11 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Gombe State, concurrent with elections to the Gombe State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election will be held two weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya is running for a second term and was renominated by his party.

The election will be held two weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Bello Matawalle has been renominated by his party.

The 2015 Nigerian Senate election in Bauchi State was held on March 28, 2015, to elect members of the Nigerian Senate to represent Bauchi State. Isah Hamma representing Bauchi Central, Malam Wakili representing Bauchi South and Sulaiman Mohammed Nazif representing Bauchi North all won on the platform of All Progressives Congress.
