Kanagawa 11th district is a constituency of the House of Representatives in the Diet of Japan. It is located in Kanagawa Prefecture, and consists of the cities of Miura and Yokosuka. It covers northwestern parts of the former city of Tokyo. In 2017, its border were redrawn and it now consists of Sapporo's Chūō ("Centre") and Minami ("South") wards, a portion of Nishi ("West") ward as well as a small part of Kita ("North") ward.

It is located in northwestern Yokohama the capital of Kanagawa prefecture. The district covers the wards of Midori and Aoba and after redistricting in 2017, parts of the neighborhoods of Eda and Oomaru in Tsuzuki ward. As of 2021, the district had 427,843 eligible voters.

The Aomori at-large district is a constituency that represents Aomori Prefecture in the House of Councillors in the Diet of Japan. Councillors are elected to the house by single non-transferable vote (SNTV) for six-year terms. Since the establishment of the current House of Councillors electoral system in 1947, the district has elected two Councillors, one each at elections held every three years. The 2019 Hokkaido gubernatorial election was held on 7 April 2019 to elect the Governor of Hokkaido Prefecture. Incumbent Governor Harumi Takahashi decided to not seek a fifth term as governor of Hokkaido. The election resulted in a landslide victory for former member of the House of Representatives Naomichi Suzuki. He received 62% of the popular vote, while Ishikawa won 37%.

A referendum on the implementation of the Osaka Metropolis Plan was held in Osaka on 1 November 2020. In the event of a "yes" vote, the wards in Osaka City would be reorganized into special wards similar to those in Tokyo. The proposal was defeated by a slim margin of 17,167 votes (1.25%).
