The 2020 The Spring League season (or TSL Las Vegas) was the fourth overall in league history, which was played in Las Vegas, Nevada. The league was able to get most of its abbreviated 2020 season completed just before social distancing mandates tied to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States took effect, shutting down effectively all in-person sports in the United States. The main competition was played at Sam Boyd Stadium between March 7 to 11. [2]
For 2020, TSL also played a showcase game against the Japan national American football team [3] at the Ford Center at The Star March 1. [4] [5] The team was coached by Terry Shea (HC), [6] Keith Rowen (OL), [7] Samie Parker (WR) [8] and Kevin Smith (DB). [9]
The designated home team (formerly West) was dubbed the Las Vegas Hughes, named after Howard Hughes, who spent much of the end of his life as a recluse in Las Vegas, [10] while the Austin Generals were slated for return but were scrapped before the season started, and the league fielded only three teams. [11] Zach Mettenberger agreed to return as a quarterback. [12] The registration fee for The Spring League's March 2020 season in Las Vegas were $2,100. [13] According to the league Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys scouts were in attendance. [14]

The league held its annual Summer Showcase on July in Glendale, Colorado, with a total of 85 players [23] and another 25 staff members and medical personnel participated. [24] Because of the COVID-19 pandemic all players had to go through 14-day self-quarantine before camp and all meetings were conducted in a video conference. [25]
Zachary Rich Mettenberger is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU and was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL draft. After two seasons in Tennessee as a backup, Mettenberger had an offseason stint with the San Diego Chargers before spending his final NFL year as a backup for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2016. Mettenberger last played professionally with the Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) in 2019. He began a coaching career the following year and has been an analyst for the University of Alabama since 2022.
Philip Anthony "Scooby" Wright III is an American football linebacker for the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Arizona where he won several national awards including the Chuck Bednarik Award in 2014.
Robert Myers is an American football guard. He played college football at Tennessee State, and was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft.
Ryan Willis is an American football quarterback who is a free agent. He played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies. In 2019, Willis finished his senior season at Virginia Tech.
The Spring League (TSL) was an American football developmental league and scouting event that played from 2017 to 2021 and was founded by Brian Woods. Aimed at professional athletes but not paying a salary or expenses, the league's goal was to "serve as an instructional league and showcase for professional football talent".
Romar Morris is an American former professional gridiron football running back. He was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent at the conclusion of the 2016 NFL draft. Morris was the NCHSAA Male Athlete of the Year(2011) at Salisbury High School in North Carolina. He played professionally for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and in The Spring League (TSL) for The Aviators.
Avery Young is an American football offensive tackle who is a free agent. He played college football at Auburn, and was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He is also the younger brother of former defensive end Willie Young.

Jerell Dwayne Springer is an American basketball player for BC Kavkasia of the Georgia A League. Standing 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 m) and weighing 180 pounds (81.6 kg), he was a top prospect in Nevada at the high school level, attending Shadow Ridge and Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas. Although his senior season at the latter school was beset by eligibility issues, he was a three-star recruit and committed to play college basketball for Southern Utah. However, he chose to not enroll and later decided to join the JBA.

Bryan James Scott is an American professional football quarterback for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Occidental College. He also played for the Philadelphia Stars of the United States Football League (USFL) in 2022.
The 2020 The Spring League Fall season was the first Fall season, and the fifth overall in league history, which was played in San Antonio, Texas. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the league conducted the season in a Bio-secure bubble.
The 2021 The Spring League season was the sixth and final season of The Spring League. This is the only season to feature eight teams in two divisions: the North Division in Indianapolis, Indiana and the South Division in Houston, Texas.
The 2019 The Spring League season was the third overall in league history, which was played in Austin, Texas. 2019 season practice began March 31, 2019, with double headers on April 6 and 11, 2019. Each of the four teams played two games.
