The 2020 Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship was the 116th staging of the Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Westmeath County Board in 1903. The championship began on 26 July 2020 and ended on 4 October 2020.

Clonkill entered the championship as the defending champions. [1]

The final was played on 4 October 2020 at TEG Cusack Park, between Clonkill and Castletown Geoghegan, in what was their second successive meeting in a final. Clonkill won the match by 3-16 to 2-16 - the first ever to be settled in extra time - to claim their 17th championship title overall and a third title in succession. [2]

The competition was initially scheduled to begin on 10 May 2020 and end on 29 June 2020. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games, the first-round games were delayed until 25 October 2020.

Alan Mangan is a hurling coach and former Gaelic footballer. He played football and hurling for Westmeath. He was one of those who won the 2004 Leinster Senior Football Championship Final.

The 2021 Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship is the 117th and current staging of the Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Carlow County Board in 1903. The championship began on 14 August 2021 and is scheduled to end in October 2021.
